About this image
Windows has just been hit with a deathblow. You can play Fallout 3 with great stability and no stutter or lag on Linux (using Ubuntu) with Proton. AND! You can play it with mods! I've modded the hell out of Fallout 3 in Linux without any mod manager. It takes a little prep, but that's easy. The visual results are just as good as Windows, and many times even better! Click here for some more screenshots of Fallout 3 modded in Linux.
Here is a short list of the many mods that are installed, and everything is rock-solid stable:
- FOSE and key plugins (all working normally, alleviates most if not all of the stuttering and lag)
- NMC Ultra
- Vurts Flora Forested
- RobCo Certified (with all options)
- MMM Paradox (with a bunch of options, including Impervious patch)
- RIL Paradox
- Fallout Streetlights with addons and my Orange Light patch
- A host of weapons re-textures and mods
- Project Reality and Imaginator (both work perfectly)
- My sky pack from Eidolon ENB, including the moons and sunglares
And a LOT more (almost 7 GB of mods in total). As I wrote, all of the mods and FOSE are all installed and working without issue. It takes a little prepping of the folders, but the results are worth it. Tutorial coming soon!
