Eidolon 6.0

Its been a long while since Eidolon was set to hidden. Before that (around the time of my year-plus hiatus) I also got rid of Vivid ENB for Fallout 3 (<== leads to dead page).

During my time off, a lot of people wrote me mails, asking about the status of those two ENBs, and whether or not I am going to make them available again. The answer to that question is a definite, "YES!"

More, I never liked 5.0. I thought it was a step in the wrong direction as far as lighting goes, and the shadowing was never quite right. So whilst updating the shader file (enbeffect.fx), I re-arranged some code, cleaned some things up, and removed the code for three palettes and replaced it with triple LUTs (CLuTs, really) to create something new. Its got all of the features and colors and shading of the old Vivid Fallout 3, and all of the contrast and saturation of the old Eidolon.

This new version features support for night vision, too. And with all of the realism I put into the lighting, you're going to need it. Especially when you're creeping caves, sewers, and light-less buildings.

In that screenshot there are absolutely NO custom textures (NMC, or similar). The only replacers I used when creating this ENB were my Moons (medium-sized), my new twinkling star-field and sun glare, and my textures for Protectrons and Tesla PA. Other than those, its all default Bethesda. If you use quality textures that are done right, Fallout 3 will look even better.

I still have a few more things to do with the lighting, and so on. So get ready! Eidolon 6.0 is definitely nearing release!
