As far as textures go, I don't really feel like going through and finding all my downloaded textures, but essentially just search hd textures and get the ones with the most endorsments. Retextures for weapons by ChristopherWallace are good, as well as NMC's terrain and city textures. ALSO Rustic Grass - Retexutres by turboscalpeur I consider essential.
But yeah whatever you use or see a lot of in-game just try to find a better texture for it. Unless you're on like an old laptop or something you should be able to run 4k textures of whatever you find on nexus, I say this because I'm currently running a hairdrier for a computer so.
