About this image

For those who love Gnomes and want a proper Display Here you go. If you have used TTWInteriors or NVInteriors Player home themes you have seen the Gnome Displays. I'm now bringing them to DCInt.

For those who haven't seen this the display will work like the bobblehead display once you place a gnome on the stand it will be removed from your inventory but have no fear another gnome will be placed in a container so you can also place them anywhere you would like.

Also like the bobbleheads when clicking on a gnome on the stand you'll get a little pop up message.

I found all of them back then, but it was not a good place where I could not move them, it would be a good sort of gnome hall or a room into which they could be placed in the vault tech figures.

I'm going to do what I did for TTWInteriors and add Gnome display racks to the Megaton and Tenpenny home too but this may conflict with other mods that change those homes! Not sure if I should keep this as an add-on or merge it into the combo.

I know finding the Gnomes was fun and funny but then you really couldn't display them! What I did In TTWInteriors was set up a bobblehead type display for them and also add them to a container so if you wanted to take one out for a photo shoot you still could.

I've made a lot of progress over the last two days but much of it doesn't warrant a new screen! It's all been setting up the base themes like Nuka theme, The Infirmary, the Chem set, and so on.

I do have a question? Looking for input!

If you watched the video I posted of my walkthrough you may have noticed a load screen and a new room! I like that room but I don't know what to do with it! Should I just make it the master Bath? (Seems weak as there would be no real reason to go into it once you looked at it once) Or, should it be the C.O.'s office? Or even a followers room?

    Thought?

Personally, I'd go with a couple of bunks and some recspace for Followers.

Always seems wrong to have the LW living like a James Bond Villain - while all of his/her Followers are apparently expected to take turns sleeping on the floor .....

To say nothing of how unsettling it is to wake up from sleep and find them all waiting at bedside. STARING at you. :O

ANOTHER possibility (dunno how doable this is - you're the expert) could be to have this space be changeable.

I'm thinking use a special terminal and/or spend caps to turn the space to any of several different functions - follower area, extra storage, indoor pool, greenhouse, additional display area (for mannequins?), war room, whatever else can be thought of.

    chucksteel - Hello!

Love the Gnomes! As long as they're friendly...

Great to have a display stand for them where they can't be sent flying by a misstep.

Edit wont work I've made too many changes between the versions but I do have three monitors and have the render widows open on two and tools open on the other.

it's more a matter of keeping track of which version I'm working on at the moment.

edit: using both GECK's at the same time is also how I'm porting back things I've done if FNV to FO3. Mostly copy past scripts and what not.

edit: edit: Any suggestion on where I place the Juke Box are welcome! I'm having issues figuring that one out.

Watching the video again, you could fit it in the bedroom where you're look at 0:22, in the game room to the left of the pool table on your left at 1:32 if it's not too tall for the window, or in the kitchen to the left of the sink at 1:51.

Want to know how nuts I am?

I'm actually working on two version of this mod at one time!  One for Vanilla FO3 and one for TTW.

Running both GECKS at the same time and when I make a change to one version I make the same change to the other! This will slow down progress but it's kind of cool!

That is rather crazyish, but if it doesn't hurt your system to have both open and you can get away with it, go for it!

You might be able to get away with doing it once in GECK, then open the other in F3Edit and then use the compare option on the one you worked on and copy all the entries into the previously not updated version. ...that might be overly complicated though. I'm pretty sure the way you're doing it is the safest way to go about it, if tedious.
