The Fable: TLC Entrance Randomizer is a mod that shuffles the map, changing exits to entrances of other maps. You'll get a vastly different map layout each time you run the script. Note that the entrances are one way, which means that leaving the Guild could take you to Picnic Area, but exiting Picnic area probably won't take you back to the Guild.

How It Works

The entrance randomizer script has a list of UIDs associated with entrances. It goes through your .tng files from your FinalAlbion folder and changes each UID that is in the predefined map list to a different, random UID from that list.

It is highly recommended to read the beginner notes here before attempting the randomizer.


Some implementations in this mod to make the randomizer more fun and completable:

  • For dead end maps, such as Picnic Area and Archon's Folly, the only entrance to the map will never be within the map itself. This makes dead end maps less likely to be inaccessible.
  • Heroes' Guild<->Guild Woods, Arena Entrance<->Hall of Heroes, Hall of Heroes<->Arena Anteroom, Arena Anteroom<->Arena, and Lookout Point<->Prophet's Chamber are all static. Trust me, it's better this way. For now.
  • A cheat sheet is included for if you get stuck or want to verify that the randomizer is completable. 

What You'll Need

This mod will require extracting your FinalAlbion.wad into a folder using a tool such as Freeroam. You'll also need to do a hexedit on your Fable.exe to allow you to leave quest areas. Please see the full instructions inside the folder for more information.

This project inspired by the previous one way entrance TLC randomizer made by blastedt, but this is a completely separate script and project.
