📥 Installation
- Install Required Packages
Open Command Prompt and run:pip install -r requirements.txt
🎮 Quick Start Guide
- Prepare Your Game Files
- Navigate to your Evochron Legacy SE installation folder
- Locate the media folder (contains .dat and .sw files)
- Place translate_helper.py in the same folder as media
- Navigate to your Evochron Legacy SE installation folder
- Run the Tool
Double-click translate_helper.py or run from command line:python translate_helper.py - Three Simple Steps
- [1] Extract text from game files
- [2] Edit JSON files in the translation folder
- [3] Apply your translations back to the game
- [1] Extract text from game files
🔄 Auto-Translate Feature
1. Run the tool and select option 3
2. Enter source and target language codes (e.g., 'en' to 'es')
3. Review and edit the auto-translated text before applying
⚠️ Important Notes
- Always back up your media folder before making changes
- The tool creates .bak backups, but manual backup is recommended
- Automatic translations may need manual adjustment for accuracy
