About this mod

Just a simple plugin that adds a few things. Ships, Weapons, Quests, Asteroids, Engines. You know, the works.

Permissions and credits
Have you spent a lot of time wandering deep space and wanted to know if there is more out there. Then welcome to Xtra Stuf, your one stop shop for all things MORE. This mod adds: 11 handmade custom ships, 3-ish new Outfits, 3 new minable asteroids that are also used IRL, and a handful of new quests to unlock them all. (Except the asteroids those are constant)
Please Be Aware - This is still a little bit of a work in progress, the current version gives a lot of money right at the start so I could test things out. I don't really plan on changing that until I have gotten it out of a testing phase.

Ships
  • Eagle - Cross between the Headhunter and the Hawk designed to use the new engines and weapons.
  • Extremoth - Massive (but balanced) cross between a Heavy Freighter and Medium-Heavy Warship with drone bays and multiple turrets as well as a lot of cargo.
  • Jumper - Agile Transport meant for running away quickly.
  • Millipede - The Bulk Freighter on steroids, designed to be a mid-late game Freighter, likely the only freighter you'll ever need.
  • Doom Manta - A pirate ship designed as a Medium/Heavy Warship thrown together from parts of a Manta and Blackbird and whatever else they could get.
  • Brauler - Primarily used by pirates, like the hauler but with more weapons and less cargo, be wary of missile launching Haulers, they're likely Braulers.
  • Mega Hauler - A modified and bigger version of the Hauler III, almost a balance between it and the Millipede.
  • Defiler - A highly dangerous Heavy Warship thought to be an army in and of itself.
  • Crow - A faster, slimmer Flivver turned into a fighter made to be used with the Murder.
  • Murder - A large fighter carrier made with inspiration from the skein and the Korath Palavret.
  • Hornet - An upgraded, smaller version of the wasp repurposed into a drone for use with the Extremoth but can be used with any drone carrier.

Outfits

  • Xperimental Engines - A powerful and unpredictable engine capable of both steering and thrust in one module.
  • Omega Beam Laser - An upgraded beam laser meant as a mid-late game weapon.
  • Omega Laser Turret - Essentially just the Omega Beam Laser in turret form.
  • *WIP* Sniper Rife - Currently a very OP but difficult to aim gun (despite its namesake) meant for destroying pretty much everything, however it provides no damage to shields.
  • *WIP* Mining Laser - A rather short rage Laser weapon meant for the explicit use of destroying asteroids, (theoretically) has the ability to pull the asteroid closer to the ship for easier collection. Does no shield damage.

Asteroids

  • Cobalt
  • Nickel
  • Zinc

Quests - WIP

  • A Matter of Firepower - Unlocks use of Omega Laser weapons.
  • An Interesting X-Periment - Unlocks use of Xperimental Engines
  • More Quests may be added at a future date.

Extra Misc Feature
Some ships can naturally come with Xperimental Engines and those that do actually pull in objects nearby when they explode (read the in-game description for the reason why). I hope to eventually make it so that any ship outfitted with Xperimentals can do this but I'm still looking for a way to do that.

Installation
https://github.com/endless-sky/endless-sky/wiki/CreatingPlugins

*NOTE* I will greatly accept (reasonable) requests or suggestions and advice/assistance in furthering this mod to make it better. I don't look at the nexus regularly, but I will try my best to reply to any comments. I may also separate some of these features into their own mods (upon request) at some point, so look forward to those on here as well.
