Compatibility
Compatible with my card game table enhancer.
This mod only touches the dice game playing cell, which is self-contained, and does not touch any of the taverns. As far as I know, Levin's fantasy take on the board is the only other mod that touches it. This mod is incompatible with Levin's.
Because the mod uses your meshes and textures, your screenshots will likely look slightly different than mine. Noble furniture textures that are close to vanilla Skyrim will look a bit fancier due to the UV-mapping on the new dice game assets, but otherwise furniture replacers should work fine. Fire me a screenshot in the comments if you see anything weird.
This mod should be fine to use on an existing save, but as always, add new mods mid-playthrough at your own risk. :) If the coins or dice are out of position or missing, using Save Unbaker may resolve this.
I've tested and taken the screenshots on a 1920x1200 screen. I'd be grateful for any screenshots on other resolutions so that I can adjust if necessary.
Installation
- Make sure to install BEES.
- Use Save Unbaker if you're installing this on an existing game.
- Download and install as usual.
- Profit, literally.
Known Issues
As mentioned above, if the cards and dice are out of position, using Save Unbaker may resolve this. Otherwise, there are a few bugs in vanilla gambling games in Enderal and interactions with things like camera mods:
Vanilla bug - Player spawns into the cell facing away from the game
This usually happens when you're talking to an NPC that invites you to a game through conversation. I've found that reloading an earlier save and talking to the NPC from a different position helps. There's also an upcoming mod release that will fix this.
Camera mod bug - Player view is from a different angle or wobbling
Unfortunately, some camera mods and DAR/OAR don't play well with the forced first person of the gambling tables. Levin's fix for this may work for you.
The console commands enableplayercontrols and tfc may help you reposition yourself if you're experiencing issues. Pressing tab (or B on console) to open the menu and then closing it might also reset your camera zoom if it's stuck.
FAQs
Q: But I don't see any of this clutter on the table in the tavern, can you add it?
A: Maybe someday, but there are all sorts of reasons that'd be pretty challenging. In the meantime, my personal headcanon is that to try to prevent cheating and prevent dangerous drunken fights over the game winnings, it's customary in Enderal for both players to make a show of emptying their pockets and putting aside their weapons when they start the game. I'm sure people still try to knock each others' Malphas' lights out, but at least they can't make a quick exit afterwards without leaving behind their gear. And as an added side effect, they put a lot of stuff on the table. :)
Q: What's the reasoning behind the new board?
A: I'm glad you asked, totally-not-me-wanting-to-talk-about-it! I've always found dice games most fun if there are plenty of tray walls and corners to bounce the dice off of, and I have a party trick where I can get a reliable six that way. :) The center platform does double duty as a cute way to hold the extra dice and add some fun to your throws. The abacus is for keeping track of rolls and the maximum dice sum, and the soft cloth on the tray muffles the clattering of dice on wood to match the in-game sound more closely.
Q: Why is there a naked man in the cell??
A: The vanilla game uses a generic NPC for voiced commentary on the game. Don't worry, you haven't turned into a naked man. :)

All credit to sagittarius22 for the original Tavern Games mod! He gave the Enderal team permission to include his mod in the game. Give him some kudos!
Thanks to Levin for the banter and my mighty need for an Enderal D&D game.
