This mod will "boost" several default magic spells used in Enderal, by adding additional effects to them or just rebalancing touches without adding any new spells.

The mod is intended for those who enjoy vanilla version of Enderal/Skyrim magic system, without adding hundreds of additional spells provided by various mods.

Overview of the changes:
The general idea was to add some "real life" logic to the spells and its effects.

  • Fireball - aoe focused spell - increased blast radius by a small amount, and giving it a chance for blase wave to stun a target(s) for a second.
  • Firebolt - single target focused spell - adds a damage over time fire effect to the target, greatly boosting damage for the next firebolt.
  • Ice Spike - single target focused spell - has a chance to knock the enemy back and daze it for a brief moment.
  • Blazing Spark - single target focused spell - has a low chance of doing additional damage to the enemy.

In most cases, the higher the spell rank, the higher the chance for a spell effect to proc. In other cases the effect is constant.

Entropy is very underwhelming school of magic in vanilla Enderal. Advertised as forbidden "death magic', while doing damage to you, it is actually no better than just plain destruction spells. Most of entropy spells now also deal damage to opponent's stamina, or even drain it for you to use. And, for example, Death Spark, can even raise a dead enemy to quickly fight for your side. However, not being a proper "raise dead" spell, the effect only last a short time, and may only be suitable for quick combat events.

Psionics are now "area" based spells, similar to the "Soul Trap". In addition, Psychosis has a chance to enrage the victim, turning it against its' allies.

Several "Mythical" spells have also been boosted, to give them the reason to be called "Mythical". A small number remained untouched.

This update changes few things that requires it to be place closer to the bottom of the load order.
