Diamantha has been a woman in progress for quite some time before I fully decided what to do with her. I have plenty of gods and deities in my written world, but since four Ages they have no longer access to the realm of the mortals unless called for through advanced rituals. There are still some human races - and others - with divine blood in their veins. They are more extraordinary than regular people - regal as you say - and often have dormant powers within them. Diamantha is such a woman, a sort of paladin in her doings (without the fanatic beliefs) who seeks for lost souls - actual spirits - and ghosts to release them. She also ages more slowly, although she's not immortal, but it makes her look far younger than her actual age.
I'm very happy to hear you like the Enderal adventures, because I want to see this game to it's end with at least one character. Skyrim will always be close too though...
The goat creature is called a Vatyr, one of the "friendly" inhabitants of Enderal. It has a werewolf body with a goat head and they're quite savage and wild. First time I walked in on such a creature I was very surprised, but I didn't expect it at all!
Thanks a lot, Patrick!
I've actually switched to this outfit just recently. I did like the one she had before as well, but she's supposed to use a heavy armor - or an outfit with such perks at least - and this new one looked perfect for her class. It's elegant, easy to move in and yet protective enough to give her a heavy armor. It's one of the Moonlight Blades Outfits converted by Team TAL.
She's a rather interesting character to play in Enderal too. There's this class called Phasmalist where you "search for lost souls" to capture them. I'm trying that one out in full with this char, because it relates very closely to her "line of work" in my writing. She's a "fantasy realm ghostbuster" - the best way to explain it really - and somewhat in between a paladin (without the righteousness), a cleric (without the zealotry) and an abjuration mage (but with weapon skills).
You're spot on about the runes too! They are indeed protective ones, kind of like glyphs of warding. I tend to use this face paint quite a lot - it looks cool - but with Diamantha, they're actually there in her written description as well...
