I built this starter HV in game with no resource cheating.

This is a starter HV that is easily buildable with the resources that you can obtain with the Damaged Hover Bike from the main Questline. It comes in a true starter version with no Shield and Thruster Jets as well as an upgraded Elite version with a Shield, the more powerful Large T2 Thrusters, and an Armored Cockpit. It can be upgraded manually since it already has the space for the Shield and Pentaxid Tank but it's a lot of Thrusters to replace and configure the Signal Logic for, so deconstructing and spawning the Elite Blueprint is definitely the easier route.


Tiny, Very Fast, Deadly and Dangerous

I built this HV because I was very impressed with how easy it was to travel in the Damaged Hover Vessel due to its speed and narrow profile. It can climb any cliff. It can go between any two trees in a forest. But when I tried to arm it I discovered the Hover Thrusters were too weak. So I designed an HV that is just big enough to carry 6 Minigun Turrets and a Shield and pack enough thrust to climb straight up a 90 degree incline cliff (when not overloaded with loot), with 46 m/s Acceleration Speed in all 4 directions. The result is a lightning fast tiny HV that can fit between most trees, has a Grinder for when it can't, and has line of sight from all 6 Minigun Turrets to the cross hairs.

This HV can take out any POI on a starter planet. With the regular version you need to withdraw from combat frequently to manually repair due to the lack of a Shield. Use speed, distance, and your crosshairs to destroy the powerful targets like Base Turrets and clusters of ground troops. Pick a target and keep your crosshairs on it while maneuvering to maintain that selected target as the closest enemy. Never allow yourself to take fire from anyone other than the target. So if you begin taking fire from any direction other than the front then it’s time to use your speed and get out of range of all enemies, reselect the nearest target, and approach it with your crosshairs on it. This is how you keep all 6 Minigun Turrets firing on the same target. Repeat this process until all targets are destroyed. You will be amazed at how deadly this tiny HV is.

It is great fun to go rampaging around a starter planet in this thing, mowing down scores of Zirax ground troops with ease. But it's so well designed that if you operate it correctly you can take out pretty much any unshielded POI on any planet.

If you are playing Project Eden and planning to install the Augmented Shield, make sure you change the other attributes like the Energy In and Mass values back to the vanilla values the way I explain at the bottom of my Sovereign Class Reaper post. That way you won't have your performance ruined by the circle jerking, delusional scenario creators.

Vermillion took his cues from the terrible choices made by Eleon, and now Ravien has followed suit. They added all these custom devices with costs that are so astronomical that they cannot be auto repaired. ???? That is why I never use any of their custom weapons. I have better things to do than manually replacing dozens of turrets every time I take some damage.

This is why I design ships that only use vanilla weapons and are deadlier than any Reforged Garbage junk. You can easily keep the 6 Minigun Turrets supplied with 15mm rounds in the field with a couple logs and some steel plate from POIs that you can collapse by exceeding their Structural Integrity. You have to ask yourself what are these guys on? But it’s worth it to correct the attributes of the Augmented Shield and Antimatter Warp Drive and use them just because they have their own unique ID. It’s more immersive than just changing the Jump Ranges and Hit Points on the vanilla versions.
