About this mod

As soon as you elevate during fight monsters like critters or spinehounds throw some ugly slime at you.
It's so annoying.
To improve your gaming experience in the first 12 hours of ELEX gameplay I "calmed down" the spitting of critters and spinehounds.

Less spitting from critters and spinehounds
-------------------------------------------

The game mechanics in the first 12 hours of ELEX gameplay are somewhat frustrating as many players may have experienced.

Seems the devs tried to compensate the jetpack advantage in fights by "means of spitting".
As soon as you elevate during fight monsters like critters or spinehounds throw some ugly slime at you.
It's so annoying.

But we've means against that: in It_Proj_Molerat_Critter for example it's the StartVelocity, the gravity and the LifeTime (of effect?)
which are to be modded
It's not easy since you have to take into account the (height) position and angle of player and monster in relation to each other.

Especially for the critters whose heads are closer to ground than those of the SpineHounds
chosing wrong parameters ends up with spitting into the ground rather quickly.

As you can see the mod is not perfect: in most cases the spit dies half the way.
Looks kinda strange: RotzeVerhungertx2.jpg
(You need to decide what is more important for you: getting less spit or having more immersion?)

Feel free to play around with the parameters in It_Proj_xxx_xxx.elextpldoc where gravity seems to have the biggest impact.

With a StartVelocity of 18.5 for spinehounds you still get the full load: SpineHound_StartVel_18_5_volle_Ladung.jpg

StartVelocity/Lifetime:
Mantis, MutantBug, Ripper, StoneBug 30/10
CrystalRat, MutantRat, TerrorBird, Stalker 20/10

(I'd suggest to leave BloodClaw, NightShadow, Patron and SlugBeast unchanged for competitional reasons.)

Installation:
- copy m_8_c_2_na.pak to your X:\Steam\steamapps\common\ELEX\data\packed

Deinstallation: simply delete that pak
