Changelogs
This mod contains all the legendary melee weapons from Baldur's Gate 3, as well as select weapons from other rarity levels. This is not just a cosmetic mod, but also a regulation.bin mod, with edited damages, scaling, skills, weapon categories, sorceries and incantations. This mod should still be playable without the regulation.bin file, though, and should be compatible with any vanilla save file. Weapon obtainment methods have been modified, though.

  • Fire Bolt (Flame Sling)
  • Giantsflame Take Thee (Fireball)
  • Spirit Guardians, Radiant (Urgent Heal)
  • Haste (Assassin's Approach)
  • Eldritch Blast (Frenzied Burst)

This mod adds a third school of magic: Invocations. Invocations are meant to evoke Warlocks and Draconic Sorcerers and they include all Dragon, Frenzied Flame and Spiral incantations, as well as Hunger of Hadar and Eldritch Blast. Several Incantations have been reclassified as Sorceries, as Incantations are now meant to evoke Clerics and Druids. In turn, the Incantation school now only consists of holy damage, healing, blood and rot Incantations. All Sorceries from the base game, except for Hunger of Hadar, are still classified as Sorceries in this mod.

Sorceries can be cast using the Golden Order Seal or the Dragon Communion Seal. The Golden Order Seal scales with Intelligence, while the Dragon Communion Seal scales with Arcane. Quarterstaves do not cast magic anymore, but they can provide major passive buffs to spellcasting.

  • Sharpshooter Talisman: Replaces Arrow's Soaring Sting Talisman. Works similarly to the Sharpshooter feat by adding 301 physical damage to arrows and bolts.
  • Tavern Brawler Talisman: Replaces Smithing Talisman. Only adds extra strength scaling to thrown attacks, not unarmed attacks.

Overall, 128 Elden Ring weapons have been replaced with BG3 models. This mod also edits the stats of several Elden Ring weapons to serve as stand-ins for BG3 weapons:
  • Flail
  • Chainlink Flail: Flail +1
  • Nightrider Flail: Defender Flail
  • Torch
  • Shortbow
  • Composite Bow: Shortbow +1
  • Longbow
  • Albinauric Bow: Longbow +2
  • Black Bow: Titanstring Bow. Scales with both strength and dexterity.
  • Soldier's Crossbow: Hand Crossbow
  • Light Crossbow
  • Heavy Crossbow
  • Uchigatana: Katana
  • Dryleaf Arts: Deft Strikes. Use Smithing Stones to increase base damage

For the melee weapons, the damages have been adjusted so that they're proportional to their BG3 counterparts. At 0 upgrade, I set a ratio of 1 BG3 damage = 20 ER damage, while at +10/+25 upgrade, I set a ratio of 1 BG3 damage = 49 ER damage. For example, the average damage for Balduran's Giantslayer in BG3 is 10 (2d6 + 3), before any proficiency bonuses. At +0 upgrade, the base damage for the Giantslayer in ER is 200, while at +10 upgrade, the base damage is 490.

With regards to damage modifier, I modified weapon scaling so that having 60 points in either strength or dexterity would be equivalent to a +5 damage modifier, which translates to an extra 245 damage at full upgrade. For one-handed BG3 weapons such as the Crimson Mischief, you only need to wield them 1 handed to get that extra 245 damage at 60 dexterity. For two-handed/versatile BG3 weapons such as the Giantslayer, you need to two-hand the weapon to get the 245 extra damage at 60 strength.

Starting with version 1.6, all BG3 weapons, except for Deft Strikes, will have the same scaling as +25/+10 Standard infused weapons regardless of level. To compensate for the increased damages, enemy HP in NG+0 have been modified to match their NG+1 counterparts (damages are still at NG+0 levels). If you don't want the modified enemy HP and weapon scaling, I've included the .CSV files that can reset the ReinforceParamWeapon and ClearCountCorrectParam tables to their default values (ReinforceParamWeapon_vanilla.csv and ClearCountCorrectParam_vanilla.csv).

More information regarding damages can be found in this article.

Weapon Obtainment
Weapon obtainment method generally matches that of the weapons they replace. For example, the Halberd of Vigilance, which replaces the Gargoyle's Black Halberd, is dropped by the Black Blade Kindred. At the same time, I don't want players doing a BG3-themed playthrough to obtain legendary weapons too early. Therefore, I made the following obtainment method changes:
  • Shar's Spear of the Evening (Cleanrot Spear) is now rewarded for completing Latenna's quest
  • Silver Sword of the Astral Plains (Watchdog's Greatsword) is now obtained by trading in the Remembrance of the Naturalborn, swapping places with Bastard's Stars
  • Balduran's Giant Slayer (Grafted Blade Greatsword) is now obtained by trading in the Remembrance of the Dragonlord, swapping places with Dragon King's Cragblade.
  • Blood of Lathander (Varre's Bouquet) is now found in Caria Manor, swapping places with the Sword of Night and Flame
  • The Dancing Breeze (Nightrider Glaive) is now purchasable from the Mountaintops of the Giants Merchant, swapping places with Missionary's Cookbook [7]
  • Belm (Shamshir) is now found at Castle Sol, taking the place of the Eclipse Shotel
  • Crimson Mischief (Frozen Needle) can be obtained after invading Varre
  • Bloodthirst (Reduvia) is now found by trading in the Rememberance of the Blood Lord, swapping places with Bloodboon

For those who don't want modded item drops, this mod comes with .CSV files that can reset the ItemLotParam_enemy, ItemLotParam_map and ShopLineupParam tables to their default values (ItemLotParam_enemy_vanilla.csv, ItemLotParam_map_vanilla.csv and ShopLineupParam_vanilla.csv).
