If I want to play online after using mod engine 2, would I just launch Elden Ring through steam like normal or do I need to do something like reload an old save?
It's been 1 week and I am still able to go online. I'll let you know after another week if anything happens but I think I'll be fine. What I did was turn all online features off while the game was running and then I quit the game. I then started mod engine 2 with it in a separate folder with the mods in the mods/parts folder and used mod engine 2 to start the game with anti-cheat off. I also used the frame rate uncapped mod the same way. When I decided to play online again, I started the game like normal which will start it without mods and in offline mode. I then turned on the online features and quit the game. When I started the game again like normal, it connected back to the servers. I didn't do anything but this skin mod and the frame rate uncapped mod. I know you can still get in trouble and maybe I should not have been so quick to advise others to do this but my experience has been fine thus far. Moving forward, I'm going to be more cautious because I really don't want to get banned just because of a skin mod.
I'm having the same issue: after running as admin. nothing happens when I doubleclick the same file. A msdos windows appears for a second, yet the game doesn't launch.
