About this mod

Gives the helmet two symmetric horns, adds plate over the lower face, compacts the neckguard and changes its textures to remove some wear.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
A cosmetic replacer mod for the drake knight helm. It changes the altered version as well. Install like any other armor replacer, I use Metis Mod Launcher for this. You can get it from this same site.

Changelist:

-Replaces the horn on the top with two symmetrical horns growing from the sides, pointing back, shaped like an actual dragon's.
-Adds plate to the lower half of the helmet, covering the mouth opening.
-Shortens the spikes of the neckguard, pulls them closer together, and changes their textures to remove some of the scratches/wear.

The altered version still changes the horns and neckguard, but leaves the mouth uncovered. I figure that people probably use that version to see more of their character's face, and besides, it'd need a lot more plate to look right without the headwrap.

Okay, fashion rant time:

This is an armor set made with pieces of dead dragons, worn by a dragon hunter/communer, in imitation of dragons. If you're gonna put horns on it, maybe try to match what dragon horns actually look like? A single horn of this size pointing straight up just makes it look like a dunce cap, and the asymmetric corkscrew shape doesn't help.

Covering the lower face with more plate felt logical. Aside from turning it into a nice full sallet, If you're going to design your armor to fight firebreathers you probably wouldn't leave half of your very flammable face exposed. And because the Drake knights supposedly "speak not a word" since birth, covering the mouth also happens to work well lore-wise.

The neckguard had a more subtle problem: every edge of every segment had its black finish scraped off. This sort of edge wear normally adds a touch of realism because edges tend to suffer more friction, but on this helmet even the more sunken edges that are impossible to land a solid blow on were equally damaged, and so the neckguard ended up looking like it had a spiderweb painted on it. It was also way too long, it looked like an 80s mullet.

There was already a mod that gave this helmet two symmetric horns, but they were still pointing up, and the hole left by the removal of the original horn was patched a little haphazardly.
