Remove Spirit Summon Color
Simply removes the purple / blue colors from the player's spirit summons, making them look like they aren't spirit summons. It DOESN'T remove the purple mist effects when they appear, get hit, or die.
Compatibilities:
Should be fully compatible to merge with pretty much any mod
This removes the color VFX from the spirit summon effect, so unless a mod changes that it should work
Should also work on any new summons that other mods add, unless they don't use the regular spirit summon effect for some reason
Compatible with ERR through the designated merge file
Necessary because of ERR's changes to the way the spirit summon color is added
Multiplayer / Seamless Coop spirit summons
Not sure if it affects them or not, I haven't been able to test it
Let me know what happens if you try it
Known issues:
Mausoleum ghost summons and other ghost-type summons don't have their regular ghostly aura
Not really a bug, just a consequence of how the mod is made, so probably not going to fix this
They can still do all of their ghost things, like teleporting
General installation:
First, download Mod Engine 2 at this link and follow the installation process there if you don't have it already. (Optionally, follow the instructions for making ME2 work with Seamless Coop)
Method 1:
1. Extract the contents of the "no-spirit-summon-color" folder to the "mod" folder in your Mod Engine directory
2. Launch Elden Ring through ME2
This is the easiest method, but it will overwrite any regulation mods you have installed in your mod folder. Keep a backup if you need to.
Method 2:
1. Extract the "no-spirit-summon-color" folder to your Mod Engine directory
2. Open the file "config_eldenring.toml" and add this line to your mod list:
This method is more advanced, but it allows you to avoid potentially overwriting other mods you have installed. It's not necessary, but I personally recommend it.
Merging:
Included in the merge file are the .csv files required for merging your regulation.bin. To merge your regulation files, open the file you want to add this mod to in DS Map Studio and merge the following .csv files.
PhantomParam (only needed if updating from mod version 1.00) SpEffectParam
