Remove Spirit Summon Color

Simply removes the purple / blue colors from the player's spirit summons, making them look like they aren't spirit summons. It DOESN'T remove the purple mist effects when they appear, get hit, or die.

WARNING

Using this mod in regular online mode WILL GET YOU BANNED!
This mod adds new items to the game, which the game servers and anticheat will notice on your save and ban you for having.
If you're going to go online, either use a separate save or make VERY sure that you've deleted all traces of this mod before doing so.
Seamless Coop is 100% safe to use this with, as it has it's own separate save system and doesn't sync with the regular online servers at all.

With Seamless Coop, make sure everyone has the exact same version installed!
I can't help you with any problems that may come up because someone in your group doesn't have the same version as another person.
At best it will cause your games to desync, and at worst it might crash your games or not let you connect to each other.
This means you must all be using the same version number and file.

Compatibilities:

Should be fully compatible to merge with pretty much any mod
  • This removes the color VFX from the spirit summon effect, so unless a mod changes that it should work
  • Should also work on any new summons that other mods add, unless they don't use the regular spirit summon effect for some reason

Compatible with ERR through the designated merge file
  • Necessary because of ERR's changes to the way the spirit summon color is added

Multiplayer / Seamless Coop spirit summons
  • Not sure if it affects them or not, I haven't been able to test it
  • Let me know what happens if you try it

Known issues:

Mausoleum ghost summons and other ghost-type summons don't have their regular ghostly aura
  • Not really a bug, just a consequence of how the mod is made, so probably not going to fix this
  • They can still do all of their ghost things, like teleporting

General installation:

First, download Mod Engine 2 at this link and follow the installation process there if you don't have it already.
(Optionally, follow the instructions for making ME2 work with Seamless Coop)

Method 1:

1. Extract the contents of the "no-spirit-summon-color" folder to the "mod" folder in your Mod Engine directory

2. Launch Elden Ring through ME2

This is the easiest method, but it will overwrite any regulation mods you have installed in your mod folder. Keep a backup if you need to.

Method 2
:

1. Extract the "no-spirit-summon-color" folder to your Mod Engine directory

2. Open the file "config_eldenring.toml" and add this line to your mod list:

{ enabled = true, name = "no-spirit-summon-color", path = "no-spirit-summon-color" },

3. Save and launch Elden Ring through ME2

This method is more advanced, but it allows you to avoid potentially overwriting other mods you have installed. It's not necessary, but I personally recommend it.

Merging:

Included in the merge file are the .csv files required for merging your regulation.bin.
To merge your regulation files, open the file you want to add this mod to in DS Map Studio and merge the following .csv files.

PhantomParam (only needed if updating from mod version 1.00)
