About this mod

A magic overhaul that significantly extends the practicality of sorceries while focusing on faith to the original game's design.

Permissions and credits
101 Sorceries is a magic overhaul that replaces every single incantation in the game with a sorcery counterpart.

Currently compatible with “Seamless Co-op”.
I am trying to make this as merge-friendly with “The Convergence” as I possibly can, but both mods have a ton of overlap, so conflicts are to be expected. A full merge will likely be more comfortable ONLY If you’re 100% focused on doing a sorcery playthrough.

1.03 UPDATE NOTES:

Upward Adjustments
  • Arcane scaling for Staff of the Guilty has been increased
  • Damage and blood loss buildup for Aberrant Spines have been increased
  • Active time of the Nebular Strike buff has been increased to 20 seconds
  • Bloodlake now covers a larger area, and the duration of lingering bloodflame has been increased
  • The third cast of Adula’s Moonblade and Carian Greatsword deal slightly more poise damage
  • The damage and knockback of Starscourge Hammer have been increased

Downward Adjustments
  • The damage and bullet spread of River of Knives have been decreased, but FP cost has also been reduced

Upward & Downward Adjustments
  • The AoE of the initial thorn spread in Spooling Briarveins has been decreased, but the pulling effect has been slightly increased

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed issues with Carian Greatsword not consistently connecting
  • Primordial Stars now consumes the correct amount of FP and stamina
  • Azur’s staff effect now works correctly
  • Night Maiden’s Mirage now deals damage consistently
  • Visual effects of Terra Erudita have been dimmed
  • Item description of Loretta’s Protection now describes the spell correctly

Mechanics:
  • Blessed Dew Talisman now offers passive FP regen, offered as a gift in the Character Menu
  • New starting classes like Stormcaller, Necromancer and Starliege that all start out the player with new modded spells
  • New catalysts that offer buffs to new sorcery types
  • Rebalanced original sorceries to make them more friendly towards the nature of the mod, encouraging certain playstyles with certain sorcery types, etc.
  • Modified “Mind” stat scaling to offer more FP

Sorceries are placed in mostly lore-accurate locations (to the best of my knowledge) but some do not make sense and will be found in unexpected, albeit equally “important” locations where you would normally find an item of the same tier. There’s a cheat sheet below detailing rough locations of all the new sorceries. Please only look at it if you don’t want to play through the game and find the sorceries yourself.

Feedback:
I do plan to regularly update this mod with reported bugs, problems, and eventually new ideas for the mod. Keep in mind this mod was made by one person with a full-time job outside of modding, so some changes might take a while to implement. Here are some other sources in the meantime:

Other Things You Should Know:
  • Expect regular balancing updates
  • Quickstep animation is currently uh, weird... Hopefully will fix it within the next week
  • Images will soon be provided alongside the new classes in the character menu
  • I will be updating all my past mods soon. This mod has just taken a lot of time
  • You do not need my permission to make videos about the mod or post it or eat it for breakfast or whatever the hell. Just credit me and I'll be happy.

Special thanks to Rayan and Cleverraptor for dealing with all my dumb questions I ask them at 3 in the morning and for teaching me how to modify FXRs, which has subsequently taken months off of my life.
