Garden, if you want supportive fans who will contribute to your mod and aren't forced behind a paywall to give feedback. Make your mod free. people will donate to you if they like it. Learn how to take criticism, even when criticism may be harsh. (There are some exceptions but generally speaking you should listen). To be able to see the bad things can help you make improvements.
I do think your mod has potential. but the fact that you openly advertise your mod as an "overhaul" is just plain wrong. You are also selling assets from other games. Your image is frowned upon by many. I really want your mod to succeed. now, from previous replies I've seen from you. you will probably reply something along the lines of "We do plan on actually overhauling the game" and I just want to say that isn't really an excuse, you could also hypothetically make "a whole new map with precise details that will leave you immersed and (Insert emotion or feeling here.)" Not only that, you will probably follow up with, "We plan on making it free when it's done" and that I can say confidently isn't true, I don't care if I'm wrong about this statement, let me give an example. The Sonic mod you made is a good example, (literally just your character is fast and IS sonic, the goat ash of war but blue, and you're fast with a jump attack that probably took minimal effort to produce). its finished and basically complete, but according to you, "Scarlet Witch and Sonic will probably be released very soon because there isn't much to be added to them, just minor bug fixes and so". Dude, you are literally explained you're done. Release them, make fixes when needed. The fact you made the decision force someone to pay a monthly subscription to get mods and their respected updates is scummy honestly. That being said, I do hope you consider making it free and just ask for donations to help progress. it would make you look better and make the Elden ring modding community happier (At least I'd hope)
I also totally agree man, and we could say the same thing, to the guy who makes the boss movesets mod (you also need to pay a Patreon for the boss moveset mod)
MichaelDu93 not only that but you don't even have full access of the mod, if your subscription runs out you'll have to pay again JUST to be able to update the mod...
I have a good feeling he's going to refer to his echo chamber called his discord. If he replies to this, that is. Which he just silences people who call him out on stealing assets from other games and modders and selling them, or people telling him selling mods is scummy and not healthy for the mod community. I genuinely dislike people who defend him. He is selling a mid-tier mod, that's not finished, and says "if you want to support our development of our mod, donate to our patron". while also forcing you to "Donate" so you can access his mod. It's one of the vilest ways to advertise a mod. He constantly says "Download our mod now!" in his video descriptions, but in reality, you're paying a subscription to access his mods.
stupid as i am sometimes, i paid for his patreon just to see if its actually worth it. after i got scammed i called him out, saying this mod is not worth any money. his words: "my mods are much bigger scale then the mods on nexus" he immediatly blocked me and has thrown me out of his patreon with me paying the monthly money 3 days ago. everyone criticizing him is getting shut down asap. nice words dont work on this greedy scumbag. a lying, greedy scumbag. thats what garden of eyes and all involved are.
