Did you spend ages in the character creator, only to spend 99% of the game with your beautiful character's face covered up by an ugly helmet? No more! This mod adds a new menu to Sites of Grace that allows you to create an invisible version of any headgear, the same way you would for regular alterations, and also allows you to revert back to default.
Requires you to have Tailoring Tools, which can be obtained from the Demi-Human Chief boss in Coastal Cave, Limgrave.
Unpack the downloaded archive into your Mod Engine 2 mod/ folder. This folder should then contain regulation.bin, msg/ and script/
Run launchmod_eldenring.bat to launch Mod Engine 2
Merging:
If you already have any of the necessary files, you will need to merge them. You can follow this tutorial to merge regulation.bin. I have included the exported CSVs in an optional file, with which you can skip steps 5-8.
To merge the files in msg/ and script/ you will need to use Yabber:
After extracting Yabber, drag your existing item.msgbnd.dcx and menu.msgbnd.dcx onto Yabber.exe to unpack them
From the merge files optional download, drag the folders inside msg/ onto the item.msgbnd.dcx/ and menu.msgbnd.dcx/ folders created by Yabber, replacing four files
Drag the item.msgbnd.dcx/ and menu.msgbnd.dcx/ folders created by Yabber back onto Yabber.exe to repack it
4. Do the same with the file in script/
I have also included the source file for t000001000.esd. If you have any need to modify that, then I'm sure you already know what to do with it. Otherwise, don't worry, it will be ignored when you repack the containing folder.
