1. Download Yabber 1.3.1 from this link: https://github.com/JKAnderson/Yabber/releases
    put it in its own directory

2. Open the folder you put Yabber in

3. Copy the oo2core_6_win64.dll file from Elden Ring's directory, and put it into the Yabber "lib" folder. 

4. Navigate to your modded c0000.anibnd.dcx file and copy it to the same folder containing Yabber.exe. Afterwards, drag this copy over the Yabber.exe file. This will "unpack" this file and create a new folder in the Yabber directory called c0000.anibnd.dcx. 

5. In that new folder, dig into it and get to the file path c0000-anibnd-dcx\GR\data\INTERROOT_win64\chr\c0000\tae.

6. Navigate to the Martial Arts TAE folder(from the optional download) and copy the TAE and paste them into step 5's \tae folder. Click yes to overwrite. 

7. Now drag the c0000-anibnd-dcx folder over Yabber.exe. This will "repack" that folder back into a single c0000-anibnd-dcx file.

8. Simply put the c0000.anibnd.dcx file generated in step 6 back into your chr folder in Mod Engine 2's mod folder.

    Is this necessary for all mods? I wanted to merge your big pack of weapons/movesets(kudos for those by the way, first mod I ever installed and the reason I reinstalled Elden Ring) with the Greater Runes mod, so I could really feel like a demigod. But since this is my first time, I wasn't sure that mod required this and would prefer to not mess anything up by doing something I'm not supposed to, or by not doing something I am supposed to do. Thanks again for the mod/tutorials man, huge help.

    So maybe someone could point this out to me. I'm trying to merge Carian combo, sword of night and flame unbound, and slumbering dynasty. The thing that isn't working is the animations. since the only repeated tae is "a23.tae" in the standard c0000 file (no a2x, 3x, etc.). I'm trying to figure out how to distinguish the three seperate tae's without causing one to override the other. Is it as simple as renaming two of them, or will I have to dig into the seperate tae's and pull out the differences? (if so,  how would you recommend I go about that?)

    Is Yabber necessary for this, still? Or should we try doing all of this with DSMap Studio?

      Yep, Yabber is a file unpacking tool, and DSMapStudio is a game editing tool, so they are totally different things.

    so im trying to find this supposed "optional download" but i dont quite understand what that is

    is it on the yabber page?

    the mod page?

    somewhere else?

      Go to the Martial Arts mod page (or whatever mod you're doing this for), go to the Files section. You should see Main files, Optional Files, and Old Files. The CSVs and TAEs are listed under Optional Files.

    I dont get what step 6 is suppoused to be. I can' t seem to find the martail arts TAE folder or what it is or where im suppoused to be looking for it.

      Martial arts = every mod 
      They always give u csv and tae folders if u want to merge.

    how do you find the modified TAE files of other mods that didnt specifically include a download for?

      you will need to open up that mod's c0000.anibnd.dcx file with yabber. The tae will be in there.

      na i was meaning if a mod author didnt tell you what exact tae files he messed with then how would you find them if you could. I fixed my issue but if theres a way to do that it would be useful to know.

      if they didn't say, then it can be tough to find out. they should be listing the taes they changed :P

    Thanks for the guide. I successfully merged err and clevers moveset. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is how to keep ERR's modified dodge (Where if your standing still and press the dodge button, you duck instead  of backstepping) in the c0000.anibnd.dcx file. Any ideas?
