I hope everyone is doing well. The mod has been out for well over a month now. Thank you for all the feedback and bug reports so far, the mod still has a ways to go before it comes out of beta but hopefully these changes are a step in the right direction:
First of all, please note that the mod will now look for the seamlesscoopsettings.ini file wherever the dll file is located. This means that the .dll and .ini file must be in the same folder to work correctly.
- Fixed a bug that caused hosts to get diminished runes from substantial enemies
In 1.2.5 I fixed boss scaling, however I inadvertently introduced this bug. It should be resolved now and both host and guest players should get 100% of the rune reward as intended.
- Fixed a bug that would cause irregular horse positioning if a player stands on dynamic world geometry while mounted
This may still happen very rarely. In about 20 hours of play testing the mod I got this bug once just outside the Gelmir Hero Grave. A quick disconnect and reconnect fixed it. That being said, this fix should help a lot as previously standing on a dynamic object (e.g. the chest carts pulled by giants) while mounted would almost guarantee this bug would pop up.
- Fixed a bug that caused some dynamic geometry to become desynced after dying as a guest
There is a bug in previous versions where the mod unintentionally uses your own world's game state whilst you're a guest in someone else's world. This should now be fixed.
- You can now drop sorceries, incantations, and weapon upgrade materials to other members of your party
This was a highly requested feature, you should now be able to share these items with your party members with no restrictions.
- Chariots will now target the host exclusively to prevent conflicting AI goals
As everyone is treated as a host in this mod, the chariots in the Hero Graves often get confused and try to target every player at once. This can result in the chariot just rotating on the spot. This should be fixed, however there are still some bugs that remain with these enemies.
- Added some configurable player HUD options for the 'Host of Fingers' title: Off, default, view ping
As the team label 'Host of Fingers' above player's heads is not really needed anymore since this is already established, you now have the option to remove that text for a cleaner screen, or replace it with the player's ping to you which will update every second.
- Updated the functionality of the Judicator's Rulebook to provide a selection of options rather than cycling through game rules
The rulebook having 3 different options was a bit clunky to use, so with a fair amount of work I have been able to implement event talk dialogues for use of the item, so that you can select from a wide range of options instead of having to cycle through each game mode.
- Added team fight options to the Judicator's Rulebook. Guest players can now use the book to choose teams if team fight mode is active
Some PvP focussed players wanted an easy way to do 2v2 fights (and maybe more in the future?). This allows the host to determine a new PvP game mode (hostile (teams)) and from then on guest players can also use the book to choose either Team A (host team), Team B, or free-for-all.
- If an update is available the message should now be more clear
The current update message is a little unclear and sometimes only appears for a split second. This should fix this issue.
- During a warp vote, if you press LB (Z) whilst in the map, the map cursor will automatically move to the site of grace being voted on
It's easy to get lost in the map when a vote warp begins, especially if you're not talking with your party over mic. Now when a vote is in progress, you can press LB (Z on keyboard) and the map cursor will jump you to the location of the grace being voted on.
That's all. Thank you for reading - I hope you enjoy the mod. I'm still going through bug reports, and although this doesn't fix all of the currently known bugs I hope that it makes a dent in them and the mod continues to develop.
