Earth Defense Survivors is a survival mission with randomized enemy spawns, available to play in different game modes.
Time Survivor, which is inspired by horde shooters and features a level up system. Both players and enemies start with very little health, and since enemies grow stronger over time, so the players must kill as many as possible to get ahead of them. But these are mere technicalities... for the actual truth is that this mode is one big dopamine fest. An alternate version of Time Survivor is also present, with different mission objectives.
Team Survival, which plays the survival mission straight and uses the regular vanilla gameplay. Here, enemies are far tougher than in Time Survivor, so you are given allies to fight them with. It can be nail bitingly hard, especially when RNG decides you should just die. Overall, if you like a challenge, then you're gonna love facing the Nameless at the end of this mission. Again, the fourth game mode is an alternate take on Team Survival, with tweaked settings.
Still too easy for you? Destroy the first pylon just as it lands to enable Hyper Mode, for harder and crazier spawns through the mission!
Time Survivor A
Mission Objectives
- Survive for 30 minutes
- Players & enemies level up
- Destroy pylons to stun enemies
- Crates drop from all enemies
Try to prioritize fast-firing weapons, even if they're kinda on the weak side, or something you wouldn't normally use.
If you start feeling the heat, shoot the pylons in order to stun most enemies momentarily (humanoids and kraken are immune).
Time Survivor B
Mission Objectives
- Survive for 15 minutes
- Players & enemies level up
- Destroy pylons to stun enemies
- Crates drop from pylons only
Locating and reaching pylons is your top priority, since they are required to drop any healing crates during the mission.
This gimmick can thoroughly devastate the slow classes, unless they bring a vehicle as backup.
Team Survival A
Mission Objectives
- Defeat 200 enemies
- Players & enemies are max level
- Destroy pylons to damage enemies
- Encounter rate 100%
Protect your allies above all else, as they are your lifeline. Also, don't bite more than you can chew.
If some enemy is just too strong, shoot the (purple) pylons to halve their health.
Team Survival B
Mission Objectives
- Defeat 600 enemies
- Players & enemies are max level
- Destroy pylons to damage enemies
- Encounter rate 300%
You are part of a larger force (against an even larger one!), so learn to delegate and don't try to solo this.
If you ignore elite or boss enemies for long, more will spawn, forming a posse that won't be easy to deal with.
INSTALLATION
To install the mod, extract its archive in the EDF6 folder, located in:
"Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Earth Defence Force 6"
When installed correctly, the installation folder should look like in the screenshot below.
