The Strider, a soldier employing a variety of energy weapons, to be recharged with his signature plasma generator.
And the Valkyrie, a heavily armed air unit with specialized loadouts for offense, defense and support.

A special unit of Rangers appointed to the retrieval and appraisal of extra terrestrial technology. Their origins precede the EDF, in the international task force researching alien activity ahead of a possible invasion. Striders excel at combat in hazardous enviroments, venturing into the unknown to turn the tables against any impossible menace. All their equipment, especially their dark energy generator, is a highly classified top secret.
The STRIDER is a special unit of Rangers, armed with a vast array of energy based weapons, that range from experimental rapiers to alien doomsday devices. Its core mechanic is deploying Plasma Generators (bound to the vehicle button) that can recharge, or even overcharge the energy of their weapons. Compared to the Wing Diver's passive recharge effect from the jetpack, here the process is entirely manual. It makes for a defensive class whose dynamic revolves around protecting zones of power, then using them to unleash the full extent of its capabilities.
- Striders have 2 Weapon Slots and 1 Generator (bound to the vehicle button).
- Generators recharge your energy for a time, then enter a short cooldown phase.
- There are three types of generators: Plasma Chargers (best performance), Plasma Batteries (best endurance) and Plasma Streamers (best micromanagement).
- Generators can be stacked! You can deploy as many as available for each type, at the same time, and overcharge your weapons far beyond their original limits. For the small price of entering the cooldown phase sooner.
- All generators can also recharge the Valkyrie's jetpack, allowing your coop mates to remain airborne for much longer.

- Pulse Blasters: Positron Blaster
- Long-Range Lasers: Closed Laser, Monster, Raijin

- Psionic Bolts: Mirage, Oracle, Gungnir
- Psionic Mines: Diffuser, Gleipnir, Heaven's Gate
- Request Artifact: Jormungandr Coil, Jormungandr Rim
- Energy Bikes: Jormungandr Ouroboros

The two classes were always meant to be played cooperatively together, each having a weapon for use with the other:
- The Strider's Positron Blaster: a powerful indirect-fire gun that requires a laser guide kit to lock on its target.
- The Valkyrie's Ion Driver: a fast railgun that consumes excessive amounts of energy, requiring a plasma generator.

A squadron of Wing Divers specially designed to escort transport aircraft during air operations. They carry standard weapons, to avoid interference with the airship's guidance and communication systems. Upgrades to their aerial units allow them for extended sorties in the air, as they move from one transport vehicle to the next. Valkyries often coordinate their attacks with the aircrews from the flying fortresses they defend.
The VALKYRIE is an elite squadron of Wing Divers, masters of all weapons from handguns to explosives and missile strikes. They're all about customizing your gear before the sortie, with their 3 weapon slots focusing on different roles in defense, attack or support. If the Fencers can be considered like a small vehicle, then Valkyries are the airforce.

Creating a new save is not required, and in fact it's better not to start over as the classes would lack variety.
