About this mod

Just a quick mod to make weapon durability unlimited with no other changes.

This mod requires the Dying Light Manager Tool if you are patched to the latest version of the game.

Link: Dying Light Manager Tool

Note: Patch 1.2.1 disabled data file modding for Dying Light. If you have the retail steam version of the game, you can download the tool below to enable mods once again. If you've pirated the game, the Manager tool will not work and you will have to buy the game if you want to use any mods. If you're still on patch 1.2.0, retail steam version or not, all mods will work without any need for the Manager tool.

This is just a quick + dirty mod to make all weapons have unlimited durability. There are effectively two ways to do this - by changing the AllowedRepairs parameter in inventory_gen.scr (and so on), or by altering the durability loss in default_levels.xml. I have done the latter, with no other changes.

New: There are now two files available for those who want weapon degradation at 1/2 the normal rate and 2/3 the normal rate. If you want another rate then just let me know and I'll make the change.

To Install: The RAR contains a data folder that you need to extract to My Documents/DyingLight. Do not put the data folder in My Documents/DyingLight/out, as  altering the Dying Light Manager's settings will erase everything in the out folder and the mod does not need to be in that folder to function properly anyway.

To make mods work with 1.4 just zip up the data folder and everything under it. Rename it to Data3.pak and replace the one in your Dying Light\DW Steam folder. Rename the old one if you want. This may change again in the future. Techland basically broke mods with this weekend's patch and didn't provide any info on what the "official" mod support is supposed to be.

Note: This mod will conflict with any other mod that makes changes to default_levels.scr. I am, however, more than happy to make any compatibility patches that may be required. Just point me to a conflicting mod and I'll see if I can't make the two work together.
