Is it possible that hostile monsters deal a lot more damage? My Companions are almost one hit from the simplest mob

Do they? Hmm maybe, I didn't want to change anything about hostile monsters but perhaps by accident by changing the damage of playable ones and their weapons/spells I messed up something, I haven't noticed it cause I haven't recruited any non monster companions, which unlike main character won't have stronger armor and the monster bonuses book.

My Character is also dead after 2-3 hits. But only murders and haku  seem to distibute this extreme damage. In the tutorrial, the Morden kill ketril with just one hit.

Hmm so it seems it only affects enemies with weapons, I'll see if I can fix that somehow

Hi mate, are you still working on the fix or you drop the project? No offence, I'm just curious, this is fantastic mod and it would be great if you are able to find solution
Anyway, greetings from Poland, take care

Hi I think I found the solution, just need to make a version of monsters weapons and spells that are separate from the ones used for the enemy monsters, so the enemy weapons and spells damage stays as they are in the original game. It will just take some time to edit all that and I will do it, just was really busy lately so doing that wasn't a priority for me. Tho I wanna make sure that this mod is enjoyable to play with for people and there's no such stuff happening. Btw I'm from Poland as well :D

I couldn't figure out how to add bosses, most their attacks and how they act is scripted I think, so if I did found some of their attacks to put as spells and stuff it didn't work too well so I gave up on that. Also npc I put in a lot of them, I didn't really care about the ones that didn't do anything or couldn't fight.

Hey, I started a game with this mod, this might be fun to beat campaigns and Legendary mod with. Are you interested in developing this further? Because there are a few things to possibly improve this:

    • It would be cool if it was possible to also obtain monster companions as party members. This could be done with pet shops. A pet shop can also sell companions (such as Deru, Lothar, ...), so you would not need to make them as pets.
    • Collecting armor that the character meets requirements to equip automatically places them in corresponding slot, making the item disappear until the character dies. One mitigation I know of is that you modify each armor base template to have requirement of a new stat, e.g. 'humanoid'. Then modify base templates of elves, humans etc to have humanoid stat with value at least 1. Then only those heroes will be able to equip armor, and the playable monsters won't.
    • Spellcasting animations are broken for monsters that do not cast spells in original game. This is easy to fix. In their templates, in body component, copy and paste the nested chore_attack component, and rename the pasted one into chore_magic. That way they will use their attack animations for spell casting.

With these improvements, one could have a massively enjoyable gameplay.

Also, your work is amazing and huuuge.

Hi thanks for the feedback! I don't plan on developing this further, but if you want feel free to have fun experimenting with it yourself, you seem to know a thing or two about modding, maybe you'll manage to make something really fun with it. Even if I wanted to try to do these myself it would probably have taken me a lot of time to figure out cause I don't really do modding, wouldn't be able to figure out how to make this mod at all if I haven't had the monster trip base mod.

One day we finally going to find "mob randomizer mod" and mod with ability to teleport like a "Hak'u Shaman".
Then it will be a gold time to exist in modding community) ^_^

So, I used the original monster trip mod and their strip remover addon as a base to create this one, in this mod you can play as 572 monsters compared to 24 from original mod, all the equipement and spells for all monsters are also added and adjusted the monster bonus spell book as well as fixed some stuff from the original mod like choosing vasp as your hero crashing the game or undead azunite mage having the model messed up and not having the spell. I made sure to test every monster very precisely to make sure everything is working. Made it work on multiplayer as well if everyone has the mod. The damage and armour of the monsters is based on their bestiary entry. There are some small things I couldn't figure out like for example mystic protector's icebolt attack spell, it makes it so he damages himself if he uses it for some reason so I replaced it with normal icebolt sfx which looks a bit odd because he casts it from his hands instead but well at least it works. I wanted to adjust health and level of every monster as well but I couldn't figure it also and was breaking a lot of things because of that. Overall I'm very happy with this mod, it took me so long to figure out how to add playable monsters, make it work and test it all, happy to share it finaly in case anyone is interested in playing as all these monsters.
