About this mod

Adds a rudimentary director system to make Survival Mode more challenging and varied.

Permissions and credits
Survival mode is fun for a while, but it eventually becomes a gigantic grind. Thousands of enemies are sent out each wave, in the same pattern as the last wave, and they're pretty much a non-issue until you get to around wave 20. Once you're up in those higher waves, they become a challenge, but until then you're just waiting.

The goal of this mod is to make the game react a bit more to how well the players are doing and scale the difficulty up to match their prowess. At the same time, if you have an especially tough wave and almost lose everything, it will scale back the difficulty a bit and give you a chance to recover.

In addition, the director system will occasionally throw special waves at you, consisting of all of a certain monster type. These waves can play havoc with your defenses, so watch out for them!

Lastly, the director prefers balanced defenses over spamming one type of attack. If most of your damage comes from a single elemental damage type, then the director may just lash out at you for that...

This mod is intended for play with high-level characters in Survival or Survival - Mix Mode. If you play on Mix Mode, its random enemy spawns will overwrite the special waves that the director would normally spawn. You could play Pure Strategy, but be aware that the elemental reaction system will still be responding to what you build.
