About this mod

Lets you play as the Overlord Subrace, which is unplayable in the base game.

Changelogs
This mod lets you play as the Overlord Subrace, one of the usually unplayable "Monster Races". To play as them, first unlock the race as normal. In addition to the original not-button, there is now a functional button linked to a brand new class. Click it, and you're done!

NOTE: There are some minor visual bugs. The description is a little scuffed, and the extra crew slots are described incorrectly, although they work fine. If you find any larger bugs related to this mod(directly related, not just with it installed), please let me know.

About the mod

There are three files in the mod currently; A gdb adding a class to connect to the pre-existing race, a gdb adding hull listings for the Overlord ships, and a mnu adding the button to access the race. The gdbs are unconnected to the main files, and the mnu uses the mergeWith feature, so there shouldn't be many compatibility problems. The race is currently as it is in vanilla, being mostly a carbon copy of Hive ( same skill trees & slots), but with different crew and ship models. I may look into making them more interesting to play as skill wise, so if you have a good idea for a replacement skill tree, feel free to comment.

Installing the Mod

To install, simply download the zip file and install the (still zipped!) file in the assets folder, sitting alongside Asset1-4. I am not sure on what will happen on uninstalling the mod, but if you aren't currently playing as the race, there shouldn't be a problem.

Modding in General

If you are interested in modding Drox Operative 2 as well, I would recommend downloading the SDK for the original game at Soldak's Website. It's very informative and contains tools for working with models as well. You should also unzip a copy of the asset files in a far away place for reference. You don't want to accidently muck something up in the base game while you're working. Finally, some personal notes; If you don't have a program to save things as mnus, you can rename a copy of an existing mnu and work off of that. For the gdbs, notepad will save as them just fine. Also, make sure when zipping your mod together to zip all folders, not just the main one. If you zip from your packaging folder, it'll mess up the filepaths and your mod won't work.
