About this mod

A simple double jump mod for Dread Delusion, made using MelonLoader.

DREAD DELUSION
DOUBLE JUMP MOD

This mod allows you to jump twice - once when grounded and another midair, allowing for fun map traversal; especially when combined with high agility.
Usually, the player can only jump once because the game detects whether the player is grounded or not and says, "Nah, you can't jump right now because you're not grounded!" However, if we check if you've jumped and then come in and say, "No, the player is actually grounded!" we allow the player to jump once more while midair.
A thing to note is that you cannot cancel your fall damage by timing your second jump right like in other games with this feature. This makes the feature feel balanced in the context of the game and more of a utility for traversing the lands (and having fun).

HOW TO INSTALL:

Simply drag and drop ALL the files and folders from the zip into the game's directory (The place where your game .exe file is).

This mod is made with MelonLoader 5.7, but uses a compatibility layer with BepInEx. If you want to use MelonLoader and know how to install it, it will work fine that way too with the standalone .dll file; otherwise, you'll want to ignore that file.

If you already have MelonLoader OR BepInEx + the BepInEx MelonLoader Loader installed, you can simply download the .dll if you wish and place that in your MelonLoader Mods folder.

FINAL NOTES

If you have any suggestions and ideas for other Dread Delusion mods, let me know! I am open to whatever.
I am limited by what MelonLoader/BepInEx can do with unity games.

If you encounter any issues with the mod, be sure to report them and I'll try to fix them if I can. This mod has been tested a good bit on multiple PCs with no issues, so be sure it's not user error before reporting.
This mod should continue to work just fine through future game updates so long as there aren't any changes to the way the game handles jumping or any major overhauls to player movement.

For the user's convenience, I have packaged BepInEx and the MelonLoader compatibility layer with the mod so it's an easy drag/drop
install. The License agreements indicate that it's fine to do this but if any developers of these softwares have issues with that, message me and I'll refer users to the correct places to install them manually.

Thanks for your time <3
