Restores missing skin textures from mesh parts hidden by tweaking the armor swap database.

Modes
  • REFramework. This works but is limited to only active gameplay to avoid expensive performance issues. (Meaning inventory previews and photo mode will still have invisible parts.)
  • Blanking all fur masks: Method two. This should have a similar effect but without forcing the game to recalculate masks, thus eliminating any performance issue. This mode works everywhere including photo mode and the inventory.
Both modes will cause fur to clip through skin tight clothes. Read below for more.

REF MODE: INVENTORY MODEL PREVIEWS WILL STILL HAVE INVISIBLE SPOTS. THIS ONLY FIXES IT IN THE WORLD / ACTUAL GAMEPLAY!!!
This also means invisible parts in photo mode as well.
This is due to performance reasons. I couldn't find a good constraint to the hooked method that didn't ruin things. If I 'fix' inventory previews you would sit on a blackscreen for 5-10 seconds after closing the menu.

Issues with furry characters:
Also seems to make fur clip through skin-tight clothes. More specifically, it makes the fur always visible which results in it drawing over things that are skin-tight.
I've been poking at it, but I've little idea yet. Fur maps are why the parts are invisible to begin with, and making them visible is what restores the skin.
I suppose the alternative is nulling the fur maps which I've seen some mods do, at the cost of making other parts invisible at times.
I might be able to bypass it for beast chars, but at best that would just leave them without an invisibility fix.
(This is what I've gathered through the comments. I don't play a beast char and don't notice it much myself.)

"For any Beastren users with fur clipping, you can apply large scale burn-style scars under your armor to force the game to cull the fur in places that clip. Make note of what clips before you go in, because the CC culls all the fur when you have something equipped.

CONFLICTS:
Nude Natural Character Creator
Not a true conflict. They work together, but the issue is, when you wear clothes, the masks this nulls hide body parts so no part of the body (normally covered) appears through your clothes.
This mod makes those body parts always visible, and that mod makes body parts (boobs/ass) bigger than the bounds of the clothes; thus you get clipping.

This is intended as a file modders can list as a requirement so they don't have to fuck with fur maps or null textures or whatever.
This doesn't alter the swap parts database and shouldn't conflict with anything. If you tweak the DB and find a texture missing, try this, and if it works, add it as a requirement.
(Only tested on the arisen/pawns, but should work on anything in theory.)

The archive here is designed for FluffyManager!
If you want to install it manually you can, just copy/merge the reframework folder to the one in the game dir.

If something isn't working, for fucks sake, tell me EXACTLY what isn't working. Give me some concrete example, a spell that isn't covered, what vocation it's a part of, etc. The more info you give the better!

Installation Instructions
  • Install Fluffy Mod Manager.
  • Install REFramework.
  • Place the archive into `.....\Fluffy Mod Manager\Games\DragonsDogma2\Mods` WITHOUT EXTRACTING!
  • Open the mod manager and enable the mod.

For the Steam version of whatever the release version is. I'll figure out versions later.
