About this mod

June 14th 2024 Update: Changed out some of the 4k AI upscales with natively 2k textures found within the games files that were much better, added a nice little 4k Sun texture (it's just a plain white circle so that was easy lol) and packaged the Environment and Structure files together in a folder tree so that it's finally easy to install.

June 14th 2024 Update
I mostly cover it in the short description, but I'll go into a little more detail here. I finally got around to putting the Environment (area) and Structure (fm, things like buildings and the outside walls of towns) files into one, easy to download and install package. The update includes natively 2k textures that I found when searching through the game's stage files. Besides the fact that I didn't think to do this when first working on this project, part of what took so long is that I was also trying to find a way to make it so that the game always loads the highest quality LOD of things, but couldn't quite figure things out. I'll be sure to update the page again if that does become a thing.

I've archived the old files, but if you still want to use the old "More 6k Gransys Environment Textures" mod, you'll want to download that one first and then the new patch since it covers some of the same things. I'll get around to making those 4k eventually, it's just a very long process that admittedly I've repeatedly procrastinated on and put off for the last few years, partially because I keep trying to make them hand made 4k textures so I only have to repackage everything once, but that's also taking forever. Sorry my projects take so long, but I hope you guys still enjoy them!

ENBoost for Dragon's Dogma! (This section is old, from 2019-2020)
Thanks to Boris Voruntsov, we finally have ENBoost, the thing that allows Skyrim players to have huge mods without the game crashing from memory overloads. The link to the latest version (v.403) of ENB containing ENBoost is right here: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_dragonsdogma.htm

A few things though. ENBoost does increase loading times by quite a bit, just as a warning. To enable the memory increasing capabilities, once the contents of the download have been placed in your main DDDA folder, you'll want to open up the configuration setting for enblocal and set EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks to =true. I know that sounds scary, but the unsafe part just means that it has trouble running with certain other processes on your pc that you'll have to close out of in task manager, and it also unfortunately means you can't tab out of the game.

For any questions you have, you can ask me, or contact Boris on his site here: http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6848

One more thing...
I know this is mentioned up top, but if you have all 3 HD Gransys Environmental things installed, plus the ENBoost and an ENB preset with it, plus anything else in HD, it's safe to say that's a lot more strain on your pc than normal so you'll likely experience some serious slow down if you don't have a decent PC, especially if you're playing at resolutions any higher than 1920x1080.
