This is the first mod I've ever uploaded. I'm very new to modding, but I thought this turned out alright and decided to put it up. I took the normal face texture, ran it through an Airbrush App on my phone and touched up some stuff, then messed with the color levels and a few other things in GIMP. The result was a cleaner looking, smoothed out Female face. I was so excited about it that I decided I should see what other people think, then they could give me tips on how to make it better.
Note: I did notice that there is a seam; a clear line between the neck and the rest of the body texture. I use the Female Beautification Project's skin texture, I don't know how the seam will appear on any other body types. Hopefully I'll be able to fix this myself, and maybe other more experienced modders can also fix that themselves if they so choose. That's the reason I'm only currently uploading a face texture, if I can fix the seam in the future I may upload a full body texture mod in this mod's place.
Update: The body mod is up as a separate mod, the pictures show the full nude body, but if you're not okay with that just don't download the nude mod f_i_body0000, the cleaner skin will still show up.
In order to install it, go to Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DDDA\nativePC\rom. In that file there is something called game_main, it's an arc file, so game_main.arc. Make a backup of that first. Then copy the game_main.arc onto the desktop. You'll have to extract the files within it, I use FluffyQuack's ArcTool, though you can use any extracting tool you prefer, DDDA Tool works too. To extract files with ArcTool, you have to find a batch tool called the pcdd, it should be in the ArcTool batch folder that came with the ArcTool download. For me, the pcdd only works if it's out on my Desktop. Drag the game_main.arc onto the pcdd, which will extract the files.
Once you've extracted it, 2 other files will pop out, a file folder, and a text file. Open the game_main file folder, and go to model\pl\f\f_base\f000, once there, you'll see the main texture files for the female character model. Copy my mod file, the f00_body00_BM.tex, and paste it in, which will replace the original. Once that's done, close out of everything, then drag the game_main file folder back on to the pcdd, which will repack the files into the game_main.arc. Copy the new game_main.arc, and paste it into Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DDDA\nativePC\rom. If everything is in order, the mod should be successfully installed. I had a real hard time learning how to install mods for this game, so hopefully this was detailed enough for any beginners out there. Hope you guys like my mod!
