Ready to break the limit of DBZ Super Saiyan Erik??

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.


This mod changes the colors of Erik's eyes, eyebrows, hair and outfits (Default and Hooded Stranger).

With DBZ Super Saiyan Erik by cnelthorke you could already give Erik SSJ hair, and recolor his default outfit based off Dragon Ball's Kame gi (the classic orange and blue clothing that Goku often wears in Dragon Ball).

This mod is aimed at giving you many more options (and possibly more detailed textures).

You choose your combination! There's separate options for:

• hair+eyebrows+eyes
• outfit
  

• For each archive file you download, choose one .pak file (look at the pictures to know what's in there)
• If you don't have it yet (I mean srsly tho??), go install Project Rebuild
• Next, copy this mod's .pak file into <steamapps>\common\DRAGON QUEST XI S\Game\Content\Paks\ (where <steamapps> is typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\ depending on your installation)
  

This mod includes two separate archive files, each containing several .pak files (follow the instructions in the previous section to know what to do with these). All the .pak files inside the same archive will edit the same game files (with maybe some exceptions because some of them have customized _N and _P maps), so obviously they are not gonna be compatible with one another.


The package containing 'hair+eyes' modifies:

• all of Erik's hair textures (to recolor the hair)
• all of Erik's face textures (to recolor the eyebrows)
• Erik's iris texture (to recolor the eyes)
  

The package containing 'wear' modifies Erik's textures files for his default outfit and his Hooded Stranger outfit


Contrary to what I normally do with smaller mods, here it's not very easy to show you an exact list of all the files, so if you wanna know exactly what files are in any .pak go ahead and use Mod Customization Tools and take a peak inside.

As usual:

• If you wanna troubleshoot compatibility with other mods, look no further than Mod Troubleshooting Tools.
• If you like some parts of this mod, but not others (e.g. you like the hair but not the eyes), what you need is Mod Customization Tools so you can keep what you like and discard the rest.

◆ Is this mod compatible with [ X ]?

I wish we modders could just say "yes" or "no" right off the bat, but in
fact it always depends on what files the mods involve. Scroll up to the
section called "Files and compatibility"; you should be able to find your answer there.

If not, you will have to try yourself: do install this mod and the other
mod you're interested in, and then launch the game and see what happens.
If one of them doesn't show up, then use Mod Troubleshooting Tools to see what's going on. If either of the two mods overrides the others, then no, they are not compatible, I'm sorry.
I always try to keep my mods as compatible as possible.

◆ Why this mod?
I have enjoyed DBZ Super Saiyan Erik by cnelthorke but, like other users, had also noticed that the SSJ eyes were missing from that mod.
At the beginning I really just wanted to create a couple texture files to create faithful SSJ eyes for Erik, so that people could use it alongside the mod.

But then, as I started working and saw how neat the results were coming together, I couldn't help but start thinking of all the possibilities!

What about SSJ God? What about wearing some of the other several gi that Goku (or other characters!) wear?? What about... !
What about frigging SSJ4, for crying out loud!!, which was my favourite!!
Yeah. Fight me.

My imagination just exploded, so I created this mod.

And with this I mean, I don't know. While there certainly are many exciting possibilities and ideas, I cannot (and generally will not) make any promises for the future. This is why I like my mods to have a minimum level of quality and polish when I make any release.

That being said, this is what I'm already working on (and so hope to release):

• more outfit recolors ('coz in Dragon Ball there's plenty)
• a Legendary SSJ (Broly) recolor, which is giving me troubles because of the missing eyes
