This mod fixes an issue that is occasionally complained about. It was especially a big one on Switch (which has controller drift), but every once in awhile you'll find folks that report this as a major problem elsewhere.
By default, both the left analog stick and the d-pad are bound to controlling the UI. This means that if the analog stick is touched (or just miscalibrated) during cutscenes it will advance the dialogue.
This mod includes a simple Input.ini tweak (actually an edited version of DQXI-SDK's Input.ini) that changes the game behavior such that only the d-pad (and WASD) are bound to UI, and the analog stick is only bound to character movement.
Installation Instructions:
Copy the included Input.ini into "Documents/My Games/DRAGON QUEST XI S/Steam/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor". Feel free to backup the Input.ini already there.
Note: You may need to install DQXI-SDK and set 'BindFromInputIni=true' in DQXI-SDK.ini for this to work!
To install DQXI-SDK, simply extract the xinput1_3.dll & DQXIS-SDK.ini files into this folder: <steamapps>\common\DRAGON QUEST XI S\Game\Binaries\Win64\
