A potential successor to the NPC Costume Swap Table, this mod allows you to use the in-game equipment menu to swap characters with an NPC counterpart. 

There are 2 versions available:
"Main" version -- a limited selection of NPCs matched to a playable counterpart for best look/compatibility.
"Dev" version -- allows any NPC to be mapped onto any playable character (many options may have some extra jank)

Comparison with old method (Costume Swap):

Pros-
1. Does not require Cheat Engine or any external application // no memory manipulation. 
2. (Presumably) Better stability, performance, ease-of-use, etc
3. (Presumably) Better appearance compatibility, clothing & hair physics, etc
4. Binary compatibility with all versions -- means no separate version of the mod has to be individually developed for JP / MS Store / EGS / Demo / etc
5. Probably a lot more i'm not even thinking of

Cons-
1. Does not allow for any mixing-and-matching of different features (hair / face / body). This means no custom character looks. You're limited to the selection of (still literally hundreds of) NPCs that already exist in the game. If you want this, the NPC Costume Swap Table is more ideal.

Remaining Limitations-
1. This still does not allow for skeleton swapping. That means, no, you still can't replace Veronica with a taller NPC without it looking janky.


Installation instructions

Copy the .pak file into <steamapps>\common\DRAGON QUEST XI S\Game\Content\Paks

(where <steamapps> is typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\ depending on your installation )
