About this mod
(FIXED!) A subtle Reshade preset that tames color intensity for a darker, lower contrast aesthetic with very light film grain.

I made this ReShade for personal use, as I found the game's aesthetic to be a tad oversaturated and bright, but I've enjoyed it enough that I've decided to share it. If you share a similar sentiment of the art style, give this a shot!
GOALS OF THIS RESHADE
The aim of this mod is to remedy my small grievances with the art style of this game. The most noticeable issues to me were the following:
- Dark hair doesn't seem dark enough on some characters.
- Some colors are far too vibrant.
- Greens are overly "limey" (too much yellow tint)
- Night stages are too bright, evening stages are excessively red.
- Skin tones and whites are overly warm.
SETTINGS USED
This mod attempts to fix these grievances with the following tweaks
- Lower saturation in shadows and highlights
- Further reduced saturation for colors that are particularly bright in this game (namely blue, red, and yellow)
- Very subtle film grain effect too keep the image from appearing "stale" or "sterile." )
- Slightly lowered contrast and color temperature.
COMPROMISES WITH THE CURRENT VERSION
- Water and sky may seem a little dull/grey. Could be possible to fix if I find another shader that better separates different shades of blue.
- This film grain implementation is particularly noticeable on green characters like Piccolo and Cell, I may update this if I find a new film
grain effect that fixes this.
INSTALLATION

To toggle the Reshade on/off, press the End key. To open the Reshade menu, press the Home Key. EDIT: There is now an optional file that changes the keybindings to tilde (~) and backslash ( \ ) in case you don't have Home/End keys.
