About this mod

A lore-compliant rewrite of several missives and codex entries to take into account world states from Inquisition.

Permissions and credits
This is a codex/missive overhaul for Dragon Age: The Veilguard which takes into account your Inquisitor's last name and some of the choices made by the player during Dragon Age: Inquisition. Though I have endeavored to maintain the overall meaning and tone of the missives and codex entries, I've also modified and added flavor text for better player immersion and world state accuracy. You can find the missives and codex entries I've changed in the spoiler down below, and you can also find previews of the text in the images if you'd like (before/after of some of the missives and codex entries), but please do note that they contain spoilers.

I've really done my best to adhere to lore accuracy and eliminate errors, but please let me know if anything crops up.

Though I know this mod doesn't (and can't) change everything, I hope it helps with immersion :)

Installation Instructions:
Download wavebend's latest alpha Frosty Mod Manager using PinkyDude's written instructions if you have not yet done so. Then unzip the main mod folder. To obtain the version that best suits your world state, navigate through the folders by double-clicking on the ones which correspond with the decision(s) your character made in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

  • Choose your Inquisitor's last name.
  • Choose who was elected Divine Victoria (Cassandra, Leliana, or Vivienne).
  • Choose the ruler of Orlais at the end of Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. The options are Empress Celene or Emperor Gaspard, regardless of whether Briala is ruling alongside them. If a public truce was declared, the official ruler is Empress Celene.
  • Choose what happened to the Grey Wardens at the end of Here Lies the Abyss (whether they were banished from Orlais or stayed to help the Inquisition fight Corypheus).
After you click on the last folder, you should see a .fbmod file. Click and drag it to your Frosty Mod Manager, or click Add Mod(s) on Frosty Mod Manager to add it. Then, apply it to your mod order by double-clicking it in Frosty.

The .fbproject files are included alongside the .fbmod files for your personal editing. Feel free to change the contents of the text in any way you'd like for your personal use, though if you are looking to upload a mod of your own using my codex or missive entries, please contact me for permission beforehand.
