I did not like. Very sloppy work. On both sides of the bald areas. Through the hair you can see the skull. When the character moves, the hair rises and falls like a plywood. In the screenshots, everything is beautiful. But actually it's just awful.
Every long hair mod clips and is stiff like a board. There's no way NOT to make it act like that, there's no hair physics in the game and it's not optimized for long hair. The hair sometimes has holes, but hair retextures usually fix it. You could download any long hair mod out there and it will be stiff and clip. That's just how DAI hair mods are. You're being rude to someone for something that isn't their fault.
When it's not even possible to add weights to the hair, that's what you get. You should refrain from commenting negatively on stuff you know nothing or little about, as i can't do s#*! about anything you mention here. Bald spots can be avoided (for the most part) if you use SK's hair retexture.
This Hairstyle is awesome <3 I've got a Question: It works fine in all the cutescenes, but ingame it's showing the origin Hairstyle, is that "normal" or what should I do to get it ingame wokring?
Awesome hair mod Thanks for the hard work you guys put into the mods. Your female elf is absolutely gorgeous, may I please know which sliders you used to create her? All my elves have the same look and yours is so different and dainty looking that I would really love a quizzy that looks like her. Thank you again
The picture to show the base hair replacement isn't loading, looks like a broken link. Could you please upload another? I'd like to see which hair I can replace. Thank you!
That's weird, it shows on both my computer at home and at university. Can you see it from this link? http://36.media.tumblr.com/440bc72209e4bdaa6b3a3b9e72b68f19/tumblr_inline_np8oebRevv1t7pz8p_500.jpg
No I can't! D: I get this error: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. I checked out another mod of yours Elf Side cut twisted curls, the picture looks like a broken link there too. But, I have an idea which hairstyle that one replaces. It will be a hassle but i can always find the replacing hairstyle by brute force Thanks anyway.
Very nice hair here Kadust. I would put your hair at the top with "Long Waves" by Korikoc. It's unfortunate you both choose the exact same hairstyle to "override" because I would like to keep both! Ugh. It's okay, you included female Dwarves, which Korikoc didn't! For that hard work, I thank you! I can finally do a female dwarf with a good long hair mod.
On a side-note: I do believe most modded hairstyles work in Trespasser, as "Long Waves" also works there. I think it's the same specular map problem. Hairstyles that change it don't work, and well as faces that remove the "slime". That's also probably why "SK Hair Retexture" doesn't work either. I hope someone can solve that, along with the "no complexion mods" problem in BE.
As far as i've understood it also depends on what vanilla hair it overrides. For example, the ones overriding the bun doesnt work properly in JoH or Trespasser (though it is somewhat dependant on what race you have too). A lot of weird things going on, but i know the coders behind the modding tools are working on solutions for all these problems.
And thanks! Gotta give the dwarves some love too. :3
I get it... new DLC, new rules. At least that explains why no one overrides buns anymore. Shame. There are a lot of good ones.
Still... why not the bald head styles? Answer: You cannot add/subract hairs from hairstyles, so all the bald hairstyles (which have no hair) cannot have any hair "added" to them, making them completely and utterly useless. That's really sad and lazy on Bioware's part. I think it would have been better if they had taken the time to fix this rather than release it when they did, but that's just me. I hope they learned from this for Mass Effect Andromeda.
I hope those coders can, because I cannot go back from using some mods. It's just... wrong now.
This is just a simple curiosity question: how terribly difficult would it be for you to make this work for female Qunari? I realize the horns are a huge hindrance, but is it "practical" to give Qunari long hair mods like this? That would be nice. Like I said, you don't have to... I'm just curious. I'm just now starting to grasp how to do the "extreme" basics.
Currently, making something like this for qunari's would be a really really heavy job. If the possibility of adding polygons arrise however, it wouldnt be much of a problem.
