Although my mods were created and designed for DAI Mod Manager, they can all be imported and used by Frosty EXCEPT for the configurable ones. Unfortunately Frosty does not support configurable mods and is unlikely to do so anytime soon.
Mod manager says this mod is not compatible with my patch.
My mods were created with various versions of the modding tools and with various game patches up to and including patch 11 (internal version number 12). If you synchronise your game with Origin you will not get this error message. The game is pretty cheap now so please consider buying it.
I'm getting infinite loading on returning to Skyhold/fast travelling.
This is a known issue with some texture/mesh replacer mods. None of my mods fall into that category. The usual culprits are companion mods/cosmetic changes or texture replacers. The only way to track the issue is to remove those mods and add them back in individually. Check the comments section on all mods before you download them.
Do your mods work with Trespasser/JoH/The Descent/Black Emporium?
As far as I can tell all of my mods work in all of the DLC apart from the "investigate the bodies" scene in The Descent when all mods have to be disabled. Do that by incrementing the patch number in package.mft by 1 (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch) then downgrading it again when you're past that scene. All hex edit mods, as opposed to texture and mesh replacer mods, will work fine in the DLC. The other option is to use Frosty and import your Daimods or use both mod managers. You can find tutorials for this on the DAI Modding Discord.
Do you take requests?
Usually no, I don't have the time, but if it's an addition or a natural extension to one of my existing mods then I'll consider it.
I'm getting a error message from Mod Manager - something about zlib/mscorlib/blah blah
There are many things that can cause Mod Manager to crash and refuse to build a patch for you. Sometimes just reinstalling it can fix the problem. Sometimes you're trying to install an old mod that's not compatible with the latest game patch. Check out the troubleshooting guides on the DAI Modding Discord.
I'm still having problems getting your mod to work.
You can post a comment here, but I have made a lot of mods and don't always have the time to provide support. First try this troubleshooting guide DAI Modder Central on tumblr. If that doesn't solve your problem, then try the DAI Modding Discord server: https://discord.gg/wzJG7Mq
Helmet "fixes" break Blackwall's face with for example revered defender helm. Front part of the helmet is inside his face. Other than that, fixes are great.
Hey, just wanted to give a quick heads-up regarding Mod #4 and compatibility with Trespasser - any retexture works like a charm once you've gotten past the intro scene and then talked to Duke Cyril/Dorian and Arl Teagan/the Divine
(The companion scenes don't need to be completed before doing this, so anyone who wants more opportunities at taking screenshots of their retexture can leave them after those scenes.)
Thanks for this lovely mod - now my Inquisitor doesn't need to walk around in that ugly old Nutcracker costume for the Exalted Council
You can have the vanilla wedding dress for the load in cutscenes for trespasser, then after that you can merge any texture replacers you have. Alternatively you could load the mod into Frosty and use it with a native frosty retexture which I believe would work fine without having to restart at all. Idk if there are any native frosty wedding dress retextures out there though.
And by load the mod into Frosty you mean literally into frosty mod manager, even if it's a daimod? (or you mean daimods+frosty method?)
And yes, there are now frosty ported retexes of the dress or the formalwear, lots of them now :))) for example: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/3056 https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/3057 https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/3053 https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/3051
My last question, if i simply put the wedding dress on (crafted maybe?) and wear them in trespasser, would they appear armless? or is there an armless wedding dress mod? I want to keep the end scenes true to the game but at the same time i'd love my inky to be in the dress.... maybe you know?
Frosty used to be able to load quite a few simple daimods without any extra steps. The Mod Manager + Frosty method was only for more complicated and configurable mods that Frosty couldn't handle. But maybe that is no longer the case. I've not kept up on Frosty development.
The armless formal wear at the end of Trespasser is a separate mesh to the one you wear during the main game and different from the crafted one. All the arm restored mod does is change your outfit during the exalted council to the main game one, it doesn't change any meshes or textures. In order to have an armless wedding dress, someone would have to make an armless mesh and texture for it I'm afraid.
I have this retexture mod of Warden Battlemage armor and I installed the no class restriction mod too but the armor still has a class restriction, making it unusable for a rogue. It doesn't physically allow me to wear it. Any solutions?
Just came in to say, don't be a noob like me: the Descent helmet fix isn't just for the Descent dlc...if you wear a stone stalker helmet in the main game you need this mod active or your face will look weird while Hide Helmets is on. (Sometimes my interpretation of descriptions astounds even me.)
First let me thank you for your work. My mod list is saturated with your work. While I know that you don't normally take requests, I'd ask if you would consider creating an alternate mod wherein you change the mesh for the Wrath of Lovias staff to that of Tyrdda's Staff? While I understand the love for the Mastework Archon Staff, it's already possible to acquire the schematic for it in game while the Tyrdda's Staff schematic is otherwise unavailable (as far as I know). What's more is that I'd rather have the mesh from Tyrdda's Staff without the added perk.
Once again, thanks for your work, your time and consideration.
Thanks to "Schematics Spree" i was able to get the Revered Defender armor (which i need for roleplay reasons) without having to finish most of the game to obtain it.
And now, because of another mod you made, i can wear said armor until the end of Inquisition without getting constantly pummeled by high-level enemies.
Kudos for making my game that much more enjoyable.
Don't know if this is a limitation of the game itself, but having helmets equipped on a Qunari still displays them during cutscenes. I reckon this stems from the fact that Vitaars are also visible during cut scenes.
Ok I have a newb question for you lol, if I say, wanted my female elf quizzy to have a restored arm, and have the wedding dress replacer and be able to craft the wedding dress, which of these mods would I need?
Inquisitors Arm Restored - Requires Trespasser DLC Formal Wear Wedding Dress Replacer with restored arm- Requires Trespasser DLC Formal Wear Wedding Dress Replacer with restored arm and wedding dress crafting - Requires Tresspasser DLC
All 3 or just the last one? I am a bit confused lol. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
