My mods were created with various versions of the modding tools and with various game patches up to and including patch 11 (internal version number 12). If you synchronise your game with Origin you will not get this error message. The game is pretty cheap now so please consider buying it.
I'm getting infinite loading on returning to Skyhold/fast travelling.
This is a known issue with some texture/mesh replacer mods. None of my mods fall into that category. The usual culprits are companion mods/cosmetic changes or texture replacers. The only way to track the issue is to remove those mods and add them back in individually. Check the comments section on all mods before you download them.
Do your mods work with Trespasser/JoH/The Descent/Black Emporium?
As far as I can tell all of my mods work in all of the DLC apart from the "investigate the bodies" scene in The Descent when all mods have to be disabled. Do that by incrementing the patch number in package.mft by 1 (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch) then downgrading it again when you're past that scene. All hex edit mods, as opposed to texture and mesh replacer mods, will work fine in the DLC. The other option is to use Frosty and import your Daimods or use both mod managers. Usually no, I don't have the time, but if it's an addition or a natural extension to one of my existing mods then I'll consider it.

There are many things that can cause Mod Manager to crash and refuse to build a patch for you. Sometimes just reinstalling it can fix the problem. Sometimes you're trying to install an old mod that's not compatible with the latest game patch. Check out the troubleshooting guides on the DAI Modding Discord.

Hi! Your mod was such a lifesaver for me. It worked with Frosty Mod perfectly for months. Then, recently, my Origin app automatically updated to the new EA app and now it just refuses to work. I un/reinstalled the game AND the mod and frosty! I found that Datapath Plugin, too. But either the game wouldn't launch, or Frosty tried to launch, the window would open, and then it would crash and the EA app "lost" my library info so the game had disappeared (when I logged out/in, the library was back). I finally broke down and downloaded a... free game, shall we say. The frosty mod FINALLY launched! The game played! Then, the intro scene started and the Fearlings showed up. In Frosty, it says the TMM Mod was "made for a different game version". Is that why it isn't working anymore? Is there anything I can do to get it to work?
I know this is an old game and an old mod, and the last comments on here were last year, but I'm so desperate. My phobia is crippling and now there's a good chance I'll just never be able to play the game again.
Did you install Frostyfix? If you are using the EA desktop app instead of Origin, you will need it to use Frosty. The mod should still work then. Get it here: https://github.com/Dyvinia/FrostyFix
Oh, yeah, that's the "Datapath Plugin" I found, FrostyFix. Sorry, I forgot the name of it. I installed it on my FrostyMod, and that's when it started doing the thing where the mod would launch the game, the window would even start to open, then the EA app would shut it all down and erase the game from my app library, saying "it doesn't look like you've downloaded that game" (even though the history showed I'd recently successfully downloaded it). Then, when I logged out and back in, the game would be back in the library. I'd try to re-launch, and the same thing would happen. Game would open, crash, EA app library would be empty.
Edit: At least I know this mod IS working with frostyfix for other people. Thank you for replying so quickly, too!
Yeah not sure beyond that as I don't really use Frosty much. Only other thing I can suggest is the Frosty Discord. They have a troubleshooting channel where people can help you. https://discord.gg/sB8ZUAT
Hey not sure if this helps but since I had to reset my PC and ran into the same issue with the crappy new EA App I started a long trouble-shooting journey and finally found this tutorial. It allows you to keep using origin and this should keep working indefinitely since there's really nothing EA can do to patch this unless they fully shut down Origin Servers which would be a bit extreme, even for EA.
You need to make sure you choose the correct version of Origin from the website (I believe it was the top left one), but other than that it's pretty straight forward and easy.
Even though the donwload site used in the video looks sketchy, I ran the site and the files through virustotal and malwarebytes and was confident enough that it was safe. (VirusTotal Scan of the Origin Installer from the website) So far this worked great, allows online play, full features and all my lovely mods work again. I hope this helps!
thank you for the link! I ended up just clearing the Datapath plugin and using the original FrostyMod to get it to work and it does! but it does mean I can't play the DAI I *paid* for because I can't use EA app to launch it. that's life I guess, lol
This is great! I'll try this out in the future. I really miss my DAKeep World state! Almost everything I do is an extra step complicated because I live in China and use a Mac, what was I thinking?? The game hasn't received any updates since I made this mod, nor has Mod Manager. Frosty mod Manager does continue to receive updates however. Good to know it still works with both modding tools.
Thank you so much! I was in the Hissing Wastes and it was hard to deal with all of those awful monsters coming at my party every other minute. They ran so freaking fast too. And they don't appear in the intro? Bless you. It's hard loving epic fantasy AND being an aracnophone XD
