FAQ - Please Read Before Posting

    Updated 26th March 2019

Mod manager says this mod is not compatible with my patch.

My mods were created with various versions of the modding tools and with various game patches up to and including patch 11 (internal version number 12). If you synchronise your game with Origin you will not get this error message. The game is pretty cheap now so please consider buying it.

I'm getting infinite loading on returning to Skyhold/fast travelling.

This is a known issue with some texture/mesh replacer mods. None of my mods fall into that category. The usual culprits are companion mods/cosmetic changes or texture replacers. The only way to track the issue is to remove those mods and add them back in individually. Check the comments section on all mods before you download them.

Do your mods work with Trespasser/JoH/The Descent/Black Emporium?

As far as I can tell all of my mods work in all of the DLC apart from the "investigate the bodies" scene in The Descent when all mods have to be disabled. Do that by incrementing the patch number in package.mft by 1 (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch) then downgrading it again when you're past that scene. All hex edit mods, as opposed to texture and mesh replacer mods, will work fine in the DLC. The other option is to use Frosty and import your Daimods or use both mod managers. You can find tutorials for this on the DAI Modding Discord.

    Do you take requests?

Usually no, I don't have the time, but if it's an addition or a natural extension to one of my existing mods then I'll consider it.

I'm getting a error message from Mod Manager - something about zlib/mscorlib/blah blah

There are many things that can cause Mod Manager to crash and refuse to build a patch for you. Sometimes just reinstalling it can fix the problem. Sometimes you're trying to install an old mod that's not compatible with the latest game patch. Check out the troubleshooting guides on the DAI Modding Discord.

I'm still having problems getting your mod to work.

You can post a comment here, but I have made a lot of mods and don't always have the time to provide support. First try this troubleshooting guide DAI Modder Central on tumblr. If that doesn't solve your problem, then try the DAI Modding Discord server: https://discord.gg/wzJG7Mq

Thank you so much! Thanks to this mod I was able to actually go through those awful, awful spidery areas and fight (instead of closing my eyes and blindly shooting magic all around me).

    Thank you so much!
I suffer from mild arachnophobia, and those spider with their sudden appearance from above and their sounds always freak me out. But no more! Fighting gets a bit confusing, but I'd rather be surprised than freaked out.

I play with Frosty and it and this mod play nicely together. I haven't started the DLCs yet, though.

You're very welcome. Unfortunately, all my efforts to make the spiders look like nugs failed miserably. It should work fine in the DLCs but let me know if you have any problems.

I'd just like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart; I'm so arachnophobic that I get panic attacks, and mods like yours are literally what allow me to play games like this at all. You have no idea how much stuff like this means to me. Thanks <3

I don't have the PC version of this game, but I am so glad you made this mod. I downloaded similar mods for DA:O and DA 2. I caved and bought the PS4 version because I can't afford a new PC at the moment, but if I eventually get the PC version, this will be the first mod I download (followed by long hair mods).

This is all I need to start playing the game! Thanks so much!

Question for everyone, did any fellow arachnophobes have trouble with the huge one in the fade, so I know whether or not to install the optional file? I've (bravely) looked up some images to try and prepare myself, but feel like it's something I can just about cope with. I seem to be panic-free when a spider doesn't look very, um, spidery.

Not sure if you're still looking for a reply, but I also had no problems with the Nightmare demon in the Fade. I can handle the spiders in the game as long as I'm at a distance so I'm not seeing them in full detail (which is often why my main is a Mage) but I've had some moments where my party would get stuck or I would steal aggro, and the giant spiders would come toward me and I'd start to panic.

I'm planning to try and make my first tank in a DA game and was looking forward to it... until I realized that would mean I'd be up-front with the spiders in DAI.

Thank goodness I remembered this mod exists.

The fear demon spider is the size of a building - it's less spidery and more landscape-like. It's so big you don't even really see its legs, I think. There's a creepy bit right before you make your escape, but you're all done fighting and into a cutscene by then.

Of course you asked this a couple of months ago, so by now you already have your answer. =D But maybe someone else will want to know.

      Oh... *cough* spoilers.

It's been about 3 years so im pretty sure you don't need this answered anymore lol but just for anyone else reading the comments in the future (like i am now):

i necessarily didnt have that much trouble with the huge one (and its f***ing HUGE) in the fade bc honestly? it looked more like a giant crab then anything. and although the camera goes to it sometimes, it's very easy to look at another point on the screen if looking at it still makes you a little uncomfortable (like me again!) since it's never the /focus/ of the scene. it's moreso just a background thing, and it really does look more like a crab. hope this helps!

Just Reinstalled the game and the mod manager is telling me that TMMInvisibleGrandFearDemon.daimod is incompatible with my patch but TMMInvisibleSpiders.daimod works completely fine no issues when merging. Any suggestions

Nvm Fixed it for whatever reason it required Patch 12 so i had to change the value found in
      D:\Game\Non Steam\Origin\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch\package.mft".

Literally got this account just to thank you for this mod. I can handle the noises, but I just don't want them jumping out at me.
