Like most DAI mods, this mod must be loaded with Zhentar's mod manager (not NMM). Find it, along with directions to use it here:

UPDATE: tirnoney's Armor-No Class Restrictions mod works beautifully with this mod and covers way more bases than my viv_light_armor_patch, so I am moving the latter to the "old" section. Please use this mod (at least TMMArmourNoClassCraftingBase and TMMArmourNoClassLightLoot. You will need these to equip Cass, Sera, and a non-mage Inquisitor.) Also, I'm not sure why, but installing tirnoney's mod may solve the problem of "Alterna-Viv'"s not appearing in the game for some.

This mod works only with human female Inquisitors.  It was done entirely by hex-editing the part_app files in da3/equipment/appearances/armours. I've put notes and a cheat-sheet of reversed hashes for the most common armors and a full list of the armor appearance files that I viv-ified, hashes both ways. I have not figured out how to import meshes into the game, but I've been able to, essentially, clone existing meshes and put them to work for us. I did a tutorial; I think anyone with a pretty basic grasp of hex-editing can do it.

to wear Viv's dress to Halalmshiral, install Live Like Viv and this:

I have recently added a standalone mod to the downloads here called "viv winter palace only" so human females can live like viv for one night only without having to change pajama mods. Afterwards, that very same Formal Attire, the ones in your inventory after the ball, will still look like Viv's dress on all human females (for those tough times when you really need it), including Cass and Sera. If Cass and Sera are in your party at the Halamshiral, and you *equip* them with the Formal Attire during the "action" sequences when your inventory is re-enabled, but during  the ballroom scenes and the last dance the Formal Attire will look normal on them (see "pajamas at the ball" for explanation). On inquisitors who are not human females, this mod will look unique and very nice, but it will conflict with other Halamshiral appearance mods. Crafting the Formal Attire will be totally normal.
this mod recreates your pajamas (including modded ones) out of the Formal Attire and it looks very pretty with Viv's outfit.

MOD DESCRIPTION:

LIVE LIKE VIV essentially swaps the human female Inquisitor's pajama-body for Vivienne's. It is not necessary for use of EQUIP LIKE VIV, which "Vivienne-izes" all of the light armor so that it looks on all human females like it does on Vivienne. The "pajama-style" light armor will not be available, but vanilla medium and heavy armor will be (i.e. Cassandra and Sera will NOT lose their normal armor).
EQUIP LIKE VIV requires a mod that enables all classes to use light armor; now that ALL CLASS RESTRICTIONS REMOVED by LoveAlice seems to have fallen victim to a recent patch, try tirnoney's, mentioned above.

LIVE LIKE VIV:
<br />Vivienne: cool confidence, education, sophistication, total mastery of her craft, matchless gift for damning with faint praise, brilliance, beauty, and a bodacious bod. Well, Lady Trevelyan, that last one can be yours!   The female Inquisitor already runs like Marilyn Monroe, elbows tucked in to protect her peach-painted fingernails (elf and human guys have them too, have you noticed?) from unseemly rift goo.  Just think how pleased Madame de Fer will be to see her protegee has tossed the unfashionable ("are we calling it a...tracksuit, darling?") togs for the unabashed gorgeousness that is Vivienne.
<br />Caveat: you're still in your pajamas, materially-speaking. Look closely: Viv's dress is made of sumptuous Royale Sea Silk, but your morph is comprised of that familiar beige-tan stuff. Use hf_vivienne_var1_core_0111_d.dds, etc... under da3/actors/Vivienne/appearances/var1/textures if you want to do a texture for this outfit. The "assets" are a partial transparency and, thanks to the mesh shaders, your décolletage will always match your skin tone, no matter what you've done in the Black Emporium. *I have included some mashups, i.e. "Alterna-Viv's" of Viv's armor that can be used instead of Live Like Viv to simply replace the pajamas if you have, say, stylistically outgrown Viv's default skyhold dress :) I had to give them (arbitrary) titles, like "warrior" and "rogue" to distinguish them, but they are and will be available to all human females; no other mods required. Mashups are really fun to do and anyone who wants to can find all the hashes for Viv's armor in my notes in the "Misc" section here.
I also tried replacing the default pajama materials in the Equip_Item_unequipped file, in order to change the tint. It actually worked, and will affect ALL pajamas. So far I have used vyrantium samite, wyvern scales, and silverite to replace the default cotton, nugskin, and iron. I'm testing more, and listing these files as "pajama retints" (originally called "reupholstery," as one would apply to an old couch).
<br />
<br />EQUIP LIKE VIV:
<br />Maybe swanning it up at Skyhold isn't enough for you, or maybe it's not your thing at all. if you would like, you can use Equip Like Viv (it's totally independent of Live Like Viv) to Vivienne-ize all your light armor (for human females, Cass, and Sera only. Sera equips human-sized armor). I had planned to make this mod dependent on LoveAlice's wonderful mod that removed class restrictions on armor, but that mod seems to have fallen victim to Bioware's latest patch. So I made my own and I'm putting it here. I made it separate from Equip Like Viv because there may well be a similar mod or the first one may be restored. Whatever the case may be, you will need a mod that allows non-mages to equip light armor, if you would like to see the armor on or craft it for anyone but Vivienne or a human female mage inquisitor. Personally, I found the idea of sticking Cassandra in Glinda-the-Good-Witch's puffy sleeves difficult to resist. Cass and Sera have all of their normal armor available for when the glee of playing "dress-up" dies.
<br />To my mind, some of Vivienne's Var 2 armor looks like the Iron Lady got stuck in the wrong end of a sleeping bag and poked her way to freedom with the hennin horns. I've done a version of the mod that gives the Var 2 armors the look of the Var 1 (the Var 2 will retain their higher stats). I have not fully tested this with crafting; please bear this in mind. Let me know about bugs so I can fix 'em.

My original goal was to create Vivienne-ized armor for every female Inquisitor, not just humans. I hope to make something nice for elves, dwarves, and qunari in the future, and I'm putting out a mod in a couple of days that, I hope, will create more clothing and armor options for everyone.

Weirdnesses:
when you're crafting, try to make sure your characters are equipped with the style of armor you wish to make. If you have LIV LIKE VIV and are parading around unequipped :) vanilla arms and legs will not show up on your paperdoll in the crafting screens. This can be solved by exiting crafting, equipping vanilla armor, and returning to crafting. Inversely, if you have EQUIP LIKE VIV, and your character is non-"viv-ified," i.e. she is equipped in vanilla armor, the Vivienne-style arms and legs will not appear. Both types of chest armor will appear in either case.  If it's your first time crafting with EQUIP LIKE VIV, you can use Vivienne's paperdoll to see what the arms and legs look like.

This may likely conflict with other equipment mods; depending on what files are being overwritten and by which mod, you may be able to adjust the load order in the modmanager. The modmanager now, helpfully, provides this information.
<br />
<br />
<br />As for the horns: I'm mystified as to how to a) get more of them and b) get them on our heads immediately; I have tried a lot of things with no luck so far, including making helmets appear like them and selling them in a store. It's a mystery...
<br />I am putting out a couple of related mods in the next few days. You'll be able to wear Viv's dress to Halamshiral (long story, but it looks awesome in there). Alas, poor Viv will be stuck in the eighth-grade band uniform for now...
<br />
<br />I've been away for a while and I'm stunned by the great mods that are catching my eye; can't wait to try them all. I really want to thank dawnlesssky for the new ModMaker and the DAI Tools Loader; they have made such a difference for me in the past couple of weeks. Also, big thanks to the folks who get the ModManager updated lightning-fast every time a new patch knocks us flat. And as for you, BioWare, thank you for this marvelous, non-insulting game, and thank you for Vivienne, who is astronomically superior to anything I could have come up with.
