Notice from moderation: A lot of antivirus engines do NOT like this file. To their credit, it does, at a glance, does appear quite suspicious. However, multiple members of moderation have used this mod personally and you can always inspect and recompile the EXE from the source if you're worried. Cheat Engine tends to get antivirus engines quite worked up, too.
So, does this no longer exist? I had it, but for some reason my computer kept deleting it. Now I want it again, and can't download it? The file page says that it's currently being uploaded and will be back soon? Guess I'll check back in a few days...
Recently or had it always? Like I said, I was using it just fine with norton, but mcafee removed it and now I can't get it back. It's no longer here. I think the mod author even said some virus removal software recognizes it as a virus, but it's not so. I don't know... I just wanted a blond mage with darker eyebrows... sucks.
No it didn't, the way it integrated with the game image files acted like a Trojan, it was all explained in the HOWTO for the mod before it got taken down :\ I used it many times and it never did anything to my machine ever.
The mod uses CheatEngine which is ALWAYS detected as a virus by Windows. CheatEngine uses the same technique to inject code as a virus so will always be a false positive. It's your choice if you don't trust it enough to use.
So i Downloaded it Today but my Anti Virus is saying: Trojan:Wins 32/Azorult!ml... I Googled and found out its an Password and Loggin Information stealing Trojaner... So i dont know what to do now as my Windows Anti Virus keeping the Message on my Anti Virus Notification board. Anyone can confirm its NOT an real Trojan?
This program causes explorer to use 10% of my cpu forever until I delete it. It's happened three times now. Let me tell you that tracking down the cause the first time took quite a while, and I confirmed it was this program on later tests.
Rebooting does nothing. The exe needs to be deleted to put cpu usage back to normal 1%-2% idle usage. I geniunely have no idea why it does this. It just appears to be cheat engine being used to hook into the game. Maybe it's a bug, but I won't be using this again either way.
Works but the issue for me is the hexadecimal to RGB and how they use 4 numbers per 2 pieces 3 part hexadecimal which can't be worked out imo.
I tried putting 00(first 2) 00(next 2) (last 2) and then trying with ff beforehand etc and receive only black colours despite inputting pink "HEX" as described. The drop down list changes hair properly however, no virus alerts.
This mod always gives trojan errors for me. For those seeking an alternative to this mod, there's the Enhanced Inquisitor Colors mod in tumblr. The link is here: https://kingbooty.tumblr.com/post/186314702632/enhanced-inquisitor-colors
Okay I made lots of tests and finally found a way to work for Black Emporium:
Travel to BE, activate the mirror and click customize on your character. ONLY then you should start this utility (as an Administrator) and then click the Initialize button. (don't forget to be on windowed mode)
For anyone that has any problem with BE they should load the game without mods and load into the BE and put the graphics to low and then to ultra. After that open the mirror and the recolor tool. initialize and switch to the game. it should work like a charm. The game should be in windowed screen.
