You need to add the files that are inside these folders: DAI SWEETFX v2-53-2-0, DAI SWEETFX. If they are still inside these folders, the game will not see/load them.
Add these files to your main DAI Folder ..../Origin Games/Dragon Age Inquisition with the DragonAgeInquisition.exe :
I did as @SBPGT said but when I run the game, it doesn't even start. As I check Task Manager, the game just popped up and disappeared. I use windows 10 and GTX 1660
This is the lighting mod I always come back to. It's so perfect and every time I try to use another one I end up not liking it and come back to this. <3
I like some of the changes introduced but the shadows are way to dark on my computer. I'll try to tweak it later for my configuration but I'll endorse the mod now as it still does what it says.
EDIT!! Never mind I'm using a newer version. And its an issue of mine, not reshade.
Does anyone have issues with the sweetfx when the game is at max resolution(4k)? It constantly switches from small windowed to fullscreen and back. Tried uninstalling sweetfx only to have the game crash (dxgi.dll and dxgi). Works fine on 1920x1080.
This is what it spits out in the log when its resizing. 09/12/2017 20:42:34:255 [11432] | INFO | Loading image files for textures ... 09/12/2017 20:42:34:413 [11432] | INFO | > Resizing image data for texture 'lensDBTex' from 1024x576 to 1920x1080 ... 09/12/2017 20:42:34:498 [11432] | INFO | > Resizing image data for texture 'lensDB2Tex' from 1024x576 to 1920x1080 ... 09/12/2017 20:42:34:655 [11432] | INFO | > Resizing image data for texture 'texDirt' from 1024x576 to 1920x1080 ...
For people asking if it works with Windows 10, it did for me -- no problems. I'm running Win10 64 bit and this is a great addition to the game. I'm completely lost to all the complexities that it will do, but even a programmer idiot like myself can appreciate how much sharper the details suddenly are with using this.
Couldn't get it to work at all dropping the sweetfx folder in the folder with the exe, like the instructions say, so I followed the suggestion of SBPGT. Then the game began crashing at the start. I tried a small caveat that worked on a reshade I used previously with which I had a similar problem: I renamed d3d9.dll to d3d11.dll Now it works. Crisp and vivid colors, very nice sweetfx.
Leaving this here in case it might be useful to somebody else. (I'm on win 10, but I don't know if it matters.)
So... this is weird. I donwloaded and played with this mod yesterday. But today my game refused to start with it. Now I kinda managed to make it work by placing it in a folder just before the folder where the game is installed. And now there is a weird FPS Display on the left superior corner. Any idea on what's going on? I've taken a look within the setting file and I found nothing that regarded the FPS counter.
