Updated preset to Reshade 1.1.0 from the old SwwetFX version.

So only one version for now, lemme know if anyone wants version with post-aa enabled like smaa.

Hi, just wanted to give my thanks for your awesome work on this preset!
It's the best one on Nexus (I've actually tried them all)!

No over saturation, no super glare effects, just cleans up the fog and sharpens things perfectly. Thank you so much!

First thx for this mod :) but unfortunately there is an issue with the windows 10 anniversary update which I updated today. After installing you can't use your keyboard in the game. I've tried a lot of things but in the end it turned out this reshade mod causes the issue :/

I know this is an old comment, but disabling origin in-game overlay fixes this issue!

Installing this causes the game to crash at launch, the error report says dxgi.dll is to blame. Any suggestions?

I find myself a bit puzzled about what ingame setings I should use when I use your 1.---SweetFX 2.0 Final Preset- This preset uses smaa anti aliasing.
Does iy already have msaa active? Wich of the anitaliasing should I put on/off? I am a noob at this, and I would love some pointers I presume putting on ingame settings thats already in this preset is Bad,mkay..
    Thanks! Love the preset, tho

Ok so I seem to be stuck at step #6. When I hit change and direct it to the where I placed the seetfx folder it keeps saying it can't locate any sweetfx files in the files in the folder. I downloaded the final preset one (the middle one out of the three.) I have put the folder in the DAI install folder where DAI.exe is at and doesn't work. Also tried putting it in the Radeonpro install folder. I have an AMD card in case that matters. Any help appreciate it. Oh and I also tried deleting and redownloading the final preset folder from here and still says same thing.

Still can't get it to work. Still says can't find sweetfx file in folders on step 6. This time I downloaded the final- strong sharpening with fxaa and still have the same problem. Tried just putting the file in dragon age install folder and starting the game but in the game I hit end and nothing happens.

You can't force SweetFX 2.0 through Radeonpro, you have to download my custom SweetFX files for Radeonpro if you want to use SweetFX through that. But i strongly suggest just using SweetFX 2.0 instead of using SweetFX through Radeonpro.

It's so easy to get working too, just download any of my SweetFX 2.0 presets, unzip the zip file, open the unzipped folder and copy all the files from there to your games install folder where the DragonAgeInquisition.exe is and you're done. SweetFX 2.0 also has insanely good compatibility, it works on win7, 8 and 8.1. It will work for sure unless there's something weird like missing directx files or some background program hooking your game etc.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure how i'm forcing the sweetfx. I'm following your steps in the description page word by word and when I try to set the root folder to the preset as described on step 6 that I downloaded from you it just says there is no sweetfx files there. I currently have the final preset I downloaded from here the nexus site on my install folder and when I hit the END key nothing happens. I pretty much unzipped the files in the install folder so everything is there except of course the zipped file.

Ok so I followed what @8ballsteve said about putting all files into the DAI install folder and deleting the empty folders except for the sweetfx folder and I got something to happen except its not the good something. It gives me two errors when I try to play and it says compilation effects failed. Both show my directory but the end for one says: /sweet.fx(441, 9): error x3004: undeclared identifier 'depthtoggle'
The other says: sweet.fx(452, 2): error x3000: syntax error, unexpected identifier, expecting end of file

At least I got somewhere but not where I wanted it to be.

Finally I got it to work. Extracted the files and folders inside the first folder and that's it. Left the files inside the sweetfx folder still inside. Tried the strong sharpening with fxaa and can barely see a difference except the lighting which looks nice. Thanks for the mod. endorsed. Going to try the better final preset.

Update: Found a solution. You don't need to do anything of that. Just normally extract the files into the main folder (where the .exe is located). If your game crashes or any compilation error appears, you're probably in need of a .dll file named d3dcompiler_43. You can download it here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dcompiler_43

Once your download is complete, just copy the .dll file into the System32 folder and into your main DAI folder. Should work now.

    Hello everyone,

A potentially very dumb question here: does anyone know if there's a way to disable the printscreen feature?

I adore this SweetFX, as it's great looking at the light improvements are wonderful. However, I've found that it conflicts with Mirillis Action!, my screenshot and video recording software. I have a suspicion that it's the printscreen feature causing my Action! screenshots to fail and videos to not record. I'm not the best when it comes to program codes, however, and I failed to identify anything that would help me turn it off in the files. Is it possible with this preset to turn that off, or am I out of luck in this regard?

    Thanks!

I don't play on potato but I have slightly better computer than minimum game's requirements. At the beginning I install only Performance Version but last night, when all my mods disappeared because new Patch, I think "why not try with better look?". So I install Finall Present and I was pleasantly surprised that my game not only work, but work pretty fine. It is slightly slower then normal but now at least fabrics have texture... all texture is better, not blurred, lighting is better, everything is better.!... thanks to that now I have pretty game with my lowest settings.

All right, you want to know something odd?

I've been using ReShade just fine until with Patch 6 which (mysteriously) broke it for a while. I fixed it by running DAI as Administrator, but then I wanted to try a new preset (namely, this one). And then it started to CTD again when I launched DAI.

So I did some digging, and found the culprit: the ReShade log file. If I delete it every time after i play the game, I can run ReShade no issue with DAI. If I leave the log file in the DAI directory and try to launch DAI, it crashes. I thought it was a permissions issue, but nope. Full GOD permissions, and still CTD.

Anyone run into this? It's a darned odd reason for the software to crash, especially since permissions aren't an issue.

As for the preset itself, it's perfect and just what I was looking for. Thank you so much!

Oddly enough, Patch 7 made this stop happening. I no longer have to delete the Reshade/SweetFX log file, and it still looks perfect. Thanks!
