As you can see its November 18th, 2024, downloaded it, put it into the Frosty mod manager, clicked launch in the manager and it works just fine. Don't worry about the "file you downloaded was for a previous version of your game" or what ever it tells you, trust me it works.
I don't think it's a necessary mod. The duration of the war table missions continues in real time when we are not in the game. Also, I don't think there will be a problem with the completion of the war table missions if we take them regularly while playing the game. This mod seems like a cheat to me and will probably cause bugs in the game.
Yes and just like andromeda its a dumb mechanic. it isnt really a cheat. considering MEA and DAI are the only video games with the dumb mechanic. And no mobile games arent real games.
This system was put in place to timegate you and continuously bring you back to playing, a mechanic they relied on to force you into what was at the time an active multiplayer mode which has since been forgotten. No sht its a cheat mechanic, dude. You are on a mod site, lol.
Then guess you should let people " Cheat " in this completely and 100% single player game, Personally I'd rather Cheat using something like this than have to wait 20 minutes or even a few hours for the timer to finish just so I can finish one side quest
What type of mechanic forces you to wait for you to be able to continue playing the game? The game you bought for your money. It's complete nonsense and one of the most annoying and useless mechanics I have ever seen in a video game. This is not a cheat, this is a must-have mod. This mechanic is hated by the vast majority of people playing the game.
dude? no mod is necessary, they're all optional enjoy playing through the game for a third time and having to wait for the war table missions to end when all you get from them is minor rewards
we all have free will, you can choose not to cheat, I choose to make the game a bit faster to cut past the artifical lengthening
the rewards you get are minor it's not stopping you from continuing to play, it's just artifically making the game last longer on a first playthrough, making it feel like an organisation that needs time to get things done, that's fine but on your third playthrough, having to wait just to get 90 gold? I'm gonna skip that
No. Timegating in a singleplayer RPG is genuinely insane. Imagine if origins made you wait 10-20 minutes between questlines, or an entire day between major story beats. The war table is a cool idea, but it's too disruptive to the flow of the game. The game is plenty bloated enough. A full playthrough of the base game, doing just two or three of the companion quests and mostly just focusing on the main story, WITH instant operations, took over 40 hours. You could argue that the resource-gathering operations can be exploited this way, but the rewards from those are so paltry that it's considerably more efficient to just go out and gather resources yourself anyway.
This is literally what mobile games do all the time, except DAI did it 10 years ago. Who the heck wants to wait in their SP game on some imaginary timer?
The only way I got this DAI mod to work... was installing it with Frosty (wth). I installed it with DAI Mod Manager multiple times, moved the load order up and down and the waiting never stopped. I decided to install it with Frosty because I had nothing to lose at this point except my game not loading... imagine my surprise when the mod actually started to work.
Can confirm, great mod that still works with DAI Mod Manager 1.0.0.59, even as someone using the EA game launcher. It didn't seem to work at first because I had missions in progress on my current save and those timers were still going, but those missions finished, all future missions had 00:00 on the timer and finished immediately after accepting. Lifesaver.
I had the white screen glitch and was able to get past it by removing all mods. Once I was in Skyhold and saved. I re-installed all mods. This mod, as with almost all other mods no longer work.
guys this is a very old mod made to be used ONLY with DAI Mod Manager... NOT Frosty. Still works perfectly in DAI mod manager. Old mods of this gameplay mechanics type don't work in Frosty if they are not properly converted for Frosty. You can't just drop any daimod you want into Frosty. Some textures will work fine others won't, depending on channels and formats, many other types of mods like this won't either. Don't complain if you are trying to use it in wrong manager.
can you tell me what is frosty? i wanna try mod this game but i see that mod manager is abandoned for it wich is crazy never seen it happen to any game
DAI mod manager is not "abandoned" in a sense that you cant use it, it's perfectly functional working program upgraded fully with final version. it will just not be updated any more because the game is not being updated any more. there's no need for it any more. Last game update was years ago in 2015 it's not in development any more, so the apps don't need to be updated any more either. so that is the only reason it is "abandoned" you can use it normally.
frosty mod manager is a different mod manger. newer, it can do some things DAI mod manager can't, especially with hair and some scripts and advanced bundle editing this is why it is still being developed. it can also edit meshes and shapes better than DAI editor. But many of the great mods here are older and have been done for DAI Mod manager only.
They use different file formats. DAI manager imports .daimod files, and frosty imports .fbmod files.
The trick is newest Frosty lets you import some of these older .daimod files but not all will work so it's risky. They have different encryptions and for textures they use different normals. so some people think you can drop any .daimods into Frosty but you can't. Some mods will work fine some will crash your game. For a .daimod to be fully functional in frosty it has to be converted for frosty with right tools.
Generally mods like this that change gameplay mechanic will not work cross managers.
to be safe you can use either DAI Mod manager and use only daimods, or use only Frost Manager and use only .fbmods, OR you can use both managers at the same time like I, and many other do. :)
@Gungrave yes it does what are you talking about? I did last full playtrhough in february/march this year last time using tones of mods in both DAI mod manager and Frosty simultaneously and it all worked fine.
@Gungrave I wanted to test your theory so I downloaded DAI mod manager again (version 1.0.0.59. from discord) since I have a new PC, I added and merged 35 different dai mods without problem and started a game and it all works. so please don't spread false info, DAI mod manager works just fine confirmed. it might be that some individual mods don't work if they are outdated.
hey, just wanted to say thank you for the useful information. i've never modded inquisition before but wanted to give it a shot and ended up here first.
I think the DAI Mod Manager from Nexus doesn't work anymore. Whenever you use the .exe of the mod manager, an error occours. I downloaded the mod manager from here https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/daitools/latest-version-announcement-t1068.html and it worked fine. For People new to modding, i recommend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzqlRtSIsC8 as a tutorial.
the version on discord is the final one and functioning one.. this one in the link was alpha... get it on discord... the final version is 1.0.0.59 (FULL, not alpha...)
BlackSilvery like I said previously. SOME daimods will work in frosty just fine, other will not and will break your game because they need to be converted.

EDIT: works after importing it to Frosty

If you want smth for War Table for Frosty manager try this newer mod instead:
Shorter War Table Missions (Frosty and DAIMod)
