This is the page where I will share any new mage builds I have made through Frosty. Builds on this page are much more polished (in my opinion) than my previous DAI build/specialization mods. All mods are made exclusively through Frosty Editor and will not be made into daimod format, so please do not ask for that. Also, none of these mods will change companion skill trees, they are solely for the Inquisitor. These builds are made for fun and to add variety to gameplay, and I cannot speak for how balanced they are in regards to difficulty.

Currently Available Builds:

STORMBLADE.

Stormblade is a replacer for the Necromancer Specialization skill tree, revolving around using dual daggers as a mage. It includes two mod files, one that turns the craftable Armada Captain's Knife into a craftable mage dagger, and another mod file for the skill tree itself. The element of the daggers change with the metal type, so you can make fire or ice ones, but this build was made with electricity damage in mind. The daggers also feature a new model, found in the game files.

Compatibility:
Will work with All Ability Trees For Inquisitior, but NOT with any mod that alters the skill trees themselves, such as No Skill Requirements. They will overwrite each other. Also will likely not work with any mod that adds new ability files, but edits to existing files should work fine. WILL NOT WORK WITH OTHER MODS ON THIS PAGE.

ELDRITCH ARCHER.

WARNING: Untested in most of the game! May cause game-breaking bugs in save files made with mod installed if the mod is removed! By downloading and using this mod you acknowledge these risks and must follow these steps:
  • New game start required! Will ONLY work on a fresh game!
  • Mod should only be installed on a playthrough/character you intend to use it on!
  • Do NOT leave this mod installed while playing any other class! Mage playthroughs ONLY for this mod!
  • Removing the mod may bug that modded character's saves, so you have to commit to this build for the playthrough you started with the mod installed!

Eldritch archer is a replacer for the Necromancer Specialization skill tree, revolving around using a bow as a mage, along with Necromancer spells and stealth. It includes four mod files, two that turns the craftable bow Elgar'nan Enaste into a craftable mage bow, and two other files for enabling bows on mages along with the skill tree itself. Choose one version of each file. The element of the bow changes with the metal type, so you can make fire or ice ones, but this build was made with electricity damage in mind, and because of that there's an optional version of the bow file that comes with an electricity passive. The bow also features a different model, found in the game files.
(Note: Weapon passives are baked into your save file. Once you have a weapon acquired or crafted, it is difficult to remove that weapon passive information from your save. For this reason, you should only install the bow file with the electricity passive if you really want it. If you really must switch to the version without the passive, try returning to a save from before you crafted the weapon for the first time.)
I've also included a version of the skill tree file that will unlock the tree from the start of the game, if anyone wants that.
