I haven't seen any fixes/workarounds for this issue so I decided to tackle it myself.
In the DLC Jaws of Hakkon you can get two new T4 mats, Ice Dragon Bone and Veil Quartz. Using these materials to make a staff (electro/cold staff) resulted in a bug where these crafted staves would produce no sound while auto-attacking. This small mod fixes that issue. Works retroactively.
Should be compatible with every mod unless they modify the recipe file for Veil Quartz and Ice Dragon Bone. (recipe_material_dlc1_metal_1/2)
Tested throughout the game, works in all DLCs as well, including Descent, Trespasser and JoH.
Use with Frosty Mod Manager.
