Heyo there!
Not much to say, other than I got really really sick of all the patchy, ugly textures of every single material in the game. Everything was too low-res for me, so I spent some time working to fix that.
And now here it is: my attempt at improving these textures, all of them at once. I've upscaled them from the original 256x256 to 2048x2048 and replaced the original patterns with more defined ones. Leathers should now (hopefully!) look more like leather, and cloth will now look less... blurry, I guess.I also tweaked the metal textures, but I'd say that's barely even noticeable, save for, maybe, if you're looking super closely at it. It was more of a personal annoyance than anything, even though I ended up having it as part of the mod anyway xD
Some of the leather textures ended up being similar to one another because I couldn't change certain ones without changing others. It's only a few of them, but I thought I should let whoever might be interested in this mod know, just in case. I've also tried to make the textures more realistic, overall, while still keeping them somewhat lore-friendly.
I created it with the old Frosty Editor (1.0.4.5) because the newest version crashes every time I try to edit certain files :( Still, I've tested it and it's fully compatible with all the newest versions of FrostyModManager, too.
I made this mostly for myself, but, although this mod obviously can't even begin to compare to artizanna's Enchanted Tannery, I hope it'll still be useful to someone. It's not 4K because my poor computer can't handle that :')
I haven't uploaded pictures of all the changed textures because my Inky hasn't found all of them yet, but I'll be doing that as soon as possible. That aside, feel free to upload your own pictures! I'm always glad to see people enjoying my mod!!
COMPATIBILITY:
This overhaul is compatible with any tints and/or stats changes, as I haven't messed with any of those parameters. It should also be DLC-compatible; I've only tested it for the base game and for Trespasser and I haven't run into any issues, anyway. Let me know if you run into any problems, however!
It can also be compatible with other retextures, but only if you put it BEFORE those mods in the load order. Otherwise, it'll just take priority over anything else.
LapisLazzuli's Crafting Material fixes isn't compatible with this mod (i think), since it doesn't only change some tints but also the textures. If you load it through FrostyModManager before/above my mod, you can use my retextures and LapisLazzuli's tint changes, though.
