About this mod

Helmet for frosty, skintone fix for daimod or frosty. Adds a welding helmet for Dagna like she has in her war table art, options for helmet up and helmet down. Also fixes the red skin tint of her arms.

Dagna Welding Helmet and Skin Tint Fix
Helmet for frosty, skin tint fix for daimod or frosty. Adds a welding helmet for Dagna like she has in her war table art, options for helmet up and helmet down. Also provides an optional fix to the red tint of Dagna's bare arms, it makes them match the rest of her skin.

The helmet is for any mesh settings. You can only use one helmet version (up/down) at a time. It's not possible to animate the helmet being lifted up and lifted down since animation import doesn't exist in the mod maker currently, so instead I made these 2 versions, you can make your own decision on which you prefer.


The helmet is:
  • incompatible with other bundle edits to skyhold, except for character generation bundles, which it should work with so long as you load my mod BELOW any character generation bundles in your mods list such as Aileani's hair replacer bundle file from the beta hair pack
  • compatible with mesh edits and retextures to Dagna's armour
  • incompatible with edits to the white bard outfit from multiplayer since it replaces that
  • made to fit the *unmodded* dwarf female bun, as this is the hairstyle Dagna wears. if you use a mod that alters the DF bun or changes Dagna's hairstyle in any way, it will probably clip through. not saying that there's not a possibility for clipping with the vanilla DF bun, but it should fit it better.

it should be theoretically possible for me to make a non bundle edit version of the helmet but it would possibly require a LOT of work and would edit more resources than you would expect, and would probably not be compatible with inquisition armour retextures like worn inquisition or mesh edits, so I will not be doing this unless people show interest and even then I cannot promise anything.

On retexturing
Feel free to retexture the helmet if you want, with credit, but do not reupload my mod at all, your texture should be seperate. in the optional files I supplied the edited specular I made for this mod. I didn't supply the diffuse or the normal map because those are already available in the mod maker, I didn't alter them in any way, you can find them under da3 > actors > dagna > appearances > textures > helmet_dagna01_d for the diffuse and helmet_dagna01_n for the normal map.

Do not replace those textures, just extract them and make your edits to them and then replace the following textures, as I replaced the bard mesh with the helmet:

uni_hm_bard01a_n,
uni_hm_bard01a_s,

the tint map you can leave alone as I removed the references to it. then load your retexture BELOW my mod and it should override the existing textures.

I know the specular map is not looking perfect but personally when I made the helmet very shiny I thought it was uncharacteristic for such a worn looking helmet to have such shine, it was not intentional that the specular map looked speckled in areas but I thought it suited the worn look of the mask better. You can retexture to your taste.
