Change ONE of many armours to any of 326 appearances.
Copy the mod for multiple armours.

Permissions and credits

REQUIRES TRESPASSER because of passive powers - Some appearances might not be available without additional other DLC.



WHAT IT DOES
Allows the user to change ONE of many armour schematics. Copy the mod for more armours. 

You can choose;
  • Stats, 
  • Passive Ability & 
  • Appearance.



HOW TO USE
  • In DAIMM, click the mod's name, click configure, drag the bottom edge of the window down, configure, click save, merge. 
    -Please don't try to merge twice.
  • Several people have stated that this mod doesn't work with Frosty :(.
Notes:
1. The schematic will be in the column of the APPEARANCE, not it's original weight.
2. There are many mods that affect Pyjamas/Pajamas etc. You can probably apply their appearance to another armour by choosing 55_Unequipped.



MULTIPLAYER ARMOUR
You will need a Multiplayer Armour Enabler to SEE the multiplayer armour. Otherwise it won't be visible. Remember it will only be available on one gender/race combination which you can see on the menu (HF = human female, for example).

CLIPPING REMOVAL
These are effects that you want to happen ONLY when the armour is equipped. Turning head or helmet off, for example, will only make it disappear when wearing this armour.



THE DIVINE / SOLAS ARMOUR FILE
To make this appear on characters other than Vivienne and Cassandra (The Divine) and Solas (Solas), you need a separate mod such as the one in the Optional section of the Files tab.



OUTERWEAR FOR COMPANIONS FILE
This file in the Optional section makes Outerwear (326 on the menu) visible on companions. Without it they will wear their normal, unique Unequipped appearances. 
It should be compatible with whatever retexture mods you choose.
Sadly, Iron Bull doesn't work properly due to neck issues, he will have a floating head. I think it is impossible to put his special neck-piece on the armour.
I have NOT done the same for 327 on the menu, Outerwear_B.



OTHERWEAR FILE
Otherwear lets you pick a new appearance for a bunch of armours including starting armour, PJs/unequipped, wedding dress, formal wear. You still need Multiplayer Armour Enabler if you want to use a multiplayer appearance.



KNOWN ISSUES
Merging Twice Crashes ModManager
What's happening is that the data from the first merge is still in memory. Changes from the first merge persist to the second merge.
First, I need to enable the assets at the start of the mod, despite them being enabled by default. This is so that on the second iteration they're available again. My mod searches for certain appearances and if the new one isn't one of the possibilities, it keeps reading beyond end of file. So I need to make it check EVERY possibility instead of just the ones that the armours originally come with.

I've uploaded a version which I, tentatively, believe has solved the issue.
Vanguard Coat seems to be broken. It seems that I didn't put slot 2 in the recipe file... or something. Sorry. Please avoid changing Vanguard Coat.

This Passive Power Doesn't Work!
I HIGHLY recommend that you stick to "ITEM" passive powers (between 118 and 187 on the menu). 
Please report this in the comments or bugs section and I'll remove it from the menu. Not all passives have been tested and it's recommended that players steer clear of the multiplayer powers as these are particularly prone to failure.
The reason multiplayer powers don't work is because they aren't in the bundles for the maps. You will need a mod that puts the abilities in the bundles such as Wavebend's Multiplayer Trees in Single Player : https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2077

Descent Armour Appearances Don't Work
What it says, sorry :( I tried my very best! - I think it might have something to do with the original equip templates having blanks for upgrade sets rather than anything/zeroes. There's literally nothing there, putting zeroes instead doesn't work, and modmanager doesn't allow me to change the filesize.

Greyed Out Crafting Button
MamaJMarie has discovered the cause of the Greyed Out Button problem. You must use at least two different material types!

Multiple Abilities Quirk
Fenix9514 tested this and came to the following conclusions:
If you make a[n armour], then save the game, then re-merge with other passive abilities selected, the weapon retains both abilities.
Workaround
I believe the abilities are stored somewhere on the save file because deleting every merged file did not help. I have loaded up a savegame prior to installing this mod and the [weapons] (even the ones i haven't crafted) reverted back to normal). So [the issue is that abilities are stored in] the savefile[.]

If you find an ability gets stuck on your character, shafyrewynd found a fix. You can make armor with those abilities again, equip them and go into combat, then leave combat and unequip them. That'll clear the slate. 

IE, if Permafrost gets stuck, change the armor ability in the mod back to Permafrost, make a fresh set and do the above steps. Next time you go into combat, no Permafrost.



Known Incompatibilities
This mod conflicts with "Armor - No Class Restrictions Remade".
To fix: Put this mod below that one on  the load order so it overwrites some of that mod's files.
This mod removes class restrictions on the 36 armours you can change.
[Technical : This mod changes one Recipe and it's EquipTemplate. The specific ones depend on user choice. All other Recipes and EquipTemplates are unaffected.]

Thanks to wannkunstbeikor for telling me where to find the SHA1 for wedding dress and swimsuite, "search the cache for the name of the assets and its the 20 bytes after the nullterminator of the name string"

If you make a DAIMOD containing one of those, you will find they have a missing OriginalSha1 in the <resources> section. Put these values there;

Manually Changing default values:
Get Notepad++ from here: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download (DO NOT USE NORMAL NOTEPAD, it will break the mod)
Open the daimod in Notepad++

* If you search for this:
public void ConstructUI(ModConfigElementsList ConfigElementsList)
The next line is where the menu begins.

* As you can see, the menu text is in the middle of the line, that's exactly what appears on the menu. You are literally changing the menu here. read that to see what you're changing - if you want to change what the menu says, you can, just make sure the inverted commas remain.

* The number at the end of each line is different depending on what you have to input, like this;
• For the ones where there is a dropdown list, the number at the end of the line is the item number on the dropdown list. Example;
ConfigElementsList.AddEnumElement ( "appe","Appearance ", typeof(Appearance), 55);
55 is the menu item on the Appearance menu dropdown ... Which is _55_unequipped_pyjamas.

• If you have to input a value between 1 and 99, the value at the end of the line is xx, 1, 99 - don't change that, but DO change the xx (you need to be between the other two numbers - the game won't let you craft it if you put over 99, the Craft button greys out).
ConfigElementsList.AddIntElement( "SOS", "Slot 1 Size", 5, 1, 99); 
The numbers at the end of the line are what you are looking for (highlighted in bright green), here 5 is the default, 1 is min, 99 is max.

• If you have to input a Material, use 0 = Cloth / 1 = Leather / 2 = metaaaaaaaaaal \m/
ConfigElementsList.AddEnumElement( "STM", "Slot 2 Material",typeof(Material), 
1); 


• If you have to input a Slot Type, use 0 = Defense / 1 = Utility.

Remember to File > Save from the menu
