Holy...! You made the dog look like a dog and not some creepy disturbing alien that wears the skin of a mabari.

I had the same initial thoughts as the poster below. They made the mabari look nice in DA2 and DAO... They already imported animations from their other games (mass effect walk and sitting down animation), so why does the dog look so horrid? It genuinely destroyed the wedding scene.

Yes, haha, that's why I was so desperate to learn texture modding in DA:I just to fix that dog :D

We need better-looking mabari, the vanilla ones were just horrid, why they couldn't keep them like they were in Origins and DA2 is a mystery. Thank you for making this :)

Hi, have you tested the grey & white version or some other?

I have not, but it actually just started working today! No idea what happened, since I didn't change anything, but I'm all good now

Had the same problem: infinite loading screen when trying to go to The Hinterlands.

Was able to load other regions OK. I didn't test them all but The Emerald Graves, Emprise du Lion and Frostback Basin all loaded fine.

Using "Grey and white" loaded by Frosty Mod Manager 1.0.5.9

I'll disable this until I'm ready for Trespasser.

Hi, any thoughts to making a Frosty compatible version? This is such a wonderful mabari improvement, but from everyone's responses the [.daimod] file won't work for me. Most Frosty files are [.fbmod]. (Mind you, I haven't actually tried...)

Hi! Yes, I want to make a frosty version (already working on it actually).

I'm looking forward to trying this out - I am not sure if you are still working on it though. I'd love a Rottweiler colour mod if you are still making variants though. So Black on top and red brown under.

Hi! I can try to make a black and tan version. Thanks for the suggestion.

I love this mod, really makes a difference how mabari looks.
Just posting that I couldn't successfully convert it with v1.0.5.1 Frosty version. In a new game I had an infinite loading screen when trying to go to the Hinterlands for the first time. Just so the people know, perhaps newer Frosty versions will be able to convert it. Or the mod author will make frosty version.

      Thank you!
I'm a modding newbie and I've never worked with Frosty mods so unfortunately I can't help you with that. If anyone out there can and wishes to convert this mod into Frosty feel free to do it!

I converted the grey and white version with 1.0.5.3 and it works fine :) (tested in the Hinterlands and Trespasser)

For others and for mod maker: this is still an issue in Frosty 1.0.5.9, with any of the textures that remove the white -- because those versions edit more than just the diffuse. The others work when loaded with Frosty.

The grey and white version causes an infinite loading screen when starting up the Trespasser DLC. This is on the newest version of Frosty (1.0.5.9)

No problems when using it with DAIModManager though, so I'm using both mod managers for now.

Such a MAJOR improvement! I love Cullen's mabari but it looked like it was made by someone who doesn't know what dogs look like.

Thank you so much for this! The first time I saw this dog I was like, "Cullen, get rid of him, that's not a Mabari and I think he's sick." As a lot of people have said, I'm surprised at how much of a difference better eye textures made! Poor thing looks a lot better now!
